Thanks for the links! I wonder when they’re going to announce which pros & chefs. At least we know the musical acts. We’ll be there for Jon Secada & Sister Sledge.

Am I reading this correctly? They are now charging for the wine seminars? I have been twice and they never charged before (always free). Is this something new?

    James,

Yep — looks like it’s about $8 per seminar. You don’t get much for free at Disney, so it’s a bummer that they’ve added a cost to this one. Have you been? Are they enjoyable? Any suggestions?

We had the opportunity to attend two free seminars (over 2 different years). The seminars are really good.

The first one we attended was for a Californian winery (Grgich Hills). The wines usually sell for $40+ per bottle (at least here in Toronto), so getting to try them for free was great. The seminar was led by a rep from the winery.

The second seminar was for unoaked Chardonnay’s, which was also very good. It was lead by one of the Disney Sommeliers. Very educating.

I wish we had done more during the festival. Especially now that they cost! Although, $8 is probably still a pretty good deal…..

James — Thanks for the review! You’re right, I can’t ever do everything I’d like to during the festival. I wish I could be many places at once.

  6. Jean Miller says

$8.00 a person for a wine seminar which has previously been free will price many of us old-stand-bys right out of the market. When Disney announced a nominal fee for these tastings this year, I expected a dollar or two, not this. We are thinking about canceling our reservations. They have already priced us out of Party For The Senses.

Does anyone know if you have to make reservations for the Daily Culinary Demonstrations? Thanks
