Name Revealed for “Hacienda de San Angel,” Werther’s Comes to Epcot, and Other News

Just wanted to share a few more tidbits of news about the newest restaurants in Epcot’s World Showcase as well as some other Epcot food news!

Via Napoli and Hacienda de San Angel

First, as you know, Epcot will be revealing two restaurants this fall: Hacienda de San Angel is the new name for what was known as the Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico pavilion. This location will serve as a counter service eatery during the day, and a table service eatery at night.

Via Napoli, in the Italy pavilion, will be a brand new 300-seat restaurant in Epcot’s World Showcase. The recent news is that the wood-fired pizza ovens in the restaurant will represent three volcanoes in Italy!

The two will open in September, and should be added to Disney’s Advanced Dining Reservations availability in July or August, according to the announcements made at today’s D23 Flowers and Fireworks event.

Stay tuned this week for even more details and announcements about Via Napoli and Hacienda de San Angel! To follow the News stories about these restaurants, check out these links:

Good to know! I’ve been wondering when I could make reservations for Via Napoli. I might just have to give up LeCellier for this.

Maybe we should go together? I can do it the day after the 1/2 marathon.

I’m sad to hear that they are closing the Goebel store. Although, not surprised given the downturn in the collectibles market.

  3. AJ says:

Chris — I’ve got a bunch of ADRs already the day after the 1/2, but you and I should definitely figure out a time that we can meet up — even for a little while.

James — But the GOOD news is that you can start making ADRs for Hacienda and Via Napoli soon!

I am jealous you get to meet AJ and her hubby..not to mention you get to check out all the new food diggs..

Well, I’ll just have to tell you all about it when I get back! Our trip is so short that it looks like if I want to try Via Napoli on this trip, I’ll have to eat at Le Cellier for lunch an Via N. for dinner. I know, it’s a sacrifice, but I think I can do it.

Are you going to the party at Epcot after the race? I’ll be there. Just look for the exhausted woman shoveling food in her face.

  6. AJ says:

Chip — We’ll toast to you, I promise!

Chris — YES, I’ll be at the after-party. Already bought my ticket! Will meet up with you there, for sure.
