Epcot Food and Wine Festival Food Pictures: Brazil and Mexico Booths

We’ve been exploring the 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival booths for a few days now, and you can see photos of just about every food and drink menu item available on our Epcot Food and Wine Festival Booth Pages! But we also enjoy sharing quick reviews of the booths during the festival.

Mexico
Mexico is a true winner this year. The booth brought out a favorite from the La Hacienda de San Angel restaurant — shrimp tacos!

Crispy Shrimp Taco -- $3.75

The rib-eye tacos were MY favorite, though. (Are you surprised? I’m pretty sure my middle name is rib-eye at this point.) Flavorful and tasty!

Rib Eye Tacos -- $5.50

The flan was a nicely-sized portion and tasted delicious.

Flan -- $3.00

And while the Strawberry Lime Margarita isn’t as good as the ones you’ll find in La Cava del Tequila, it IS quite good!

Strawberry Lime Margarita on the Rocks -- $7.75

You can see more pictures, the full menu, and prices on our Mexico Booth Page!

Brazil
Over at Brazil this year, there’s a completely new menu! The mahi mahi was really tasty; I like it as a new addition!

Seared Mahi Mahi with steamed Rice, Hearts of Palm, and Coconut-Lime Sauce -- $4.50

This signature Brazilian stew is made with black beans and pork — it was much darker than I expected! Very chunky and packed with black beans.

Feijoada -- $2.75

Of course, the frozen Caipirinha was awesome!! Definitely a must-do drink at the festival in my opinion.

LeBlon Frozen Caipirinha -- $7.50

You can see more pictures, the full menu, and prices on our Brazil Booth Page!

My family visited Epcot’ Food and Wine Festival last fall and I had the shrimp tacos at La Hacienda de San Angelo! They are fabulous! INeed to find a recipe. The shrimp is nice and light with a great sauce on top! I have craved them ever since. Thanks for letting us know they are serving them in the stands!

I need to write down what I want to try so I don’t miss anything. What is the white stuff on the stew?

  5. Jen says:

I was thinking of running the Food & Wine Half next year. Besides drinks and desserts, are there many choices for vegetarians? I have more of a savory tooth and less of a sweet tooth.

  6. Courtney says:

@JoAnn, I think it’s something like cotija cheese, a white dry cheese that’s a bit like parmesan.

  7. Courtney says:

*sorry, did some research and I think it’s farofa, which is like buttery breadcrumbs.

  8. AJ says:

JoAnn and Courtney — It is farofa. Sorry for the late reply! :-)

    Ashley and Kat — Agreed!

Erica — So glad you enjoyed the shrimp tacos! I’m glad they have them at the festival this year.

Jen — They do have lots of choices for vegetarians. At least one thing at each booth usually! And they are often savory items.

  9. JoAnn says:

    Thank you Courtney and A.J.

  10. Lynn says:

These are my favorite kiosks so far. I would order everything! I included this post in my weekly post round-up because these all look so yummy!
