Chili “Cone” Queso Now Available in Walt Disney World

It’s become more and more commonplace for Disney parks to introduce similar new food items on BOTH coasts — case in point: Red’s Apple Freeze at Cozy Cone Motel and Le Fou’s Brew at Gaston’s Tavern.

And it’s happened again now that Disney World’s Downtown Disney is serving another big Disneyland hitChili Cone Queso!

WDWDowntown tweeted about the new menu items today

Introduced first at the Cozy Cone Motel in Disney California Adventure’s Cars Land at its landmark opening in 2012, the Chili Cone Queso — along with other savory food-in-a-cone options — has been delighting Disneyland Resort visitors.

Once they order the Chili Cone Queso, diners discover a meaty chili topped with shredded cheese and corn chips all tucked into a hand-held, thick bread cone.

Now, Marketplace Snacks in Downtown Disney Orlando offers the same “cone”-coction along with a Meatball Cone version as well. Some would say that this is just the long-awaited return of the “handwich” to Disney World.

The cones will be offered in addition to Marketplace Snacks’ standard menu of gussied-up hot dogs, popcorn, beer, and frozen slushes.

This is FANTASTIC news!!! We had the Chili Cone Queso in Disneyland last fall, and it was delicious! So glad to see it available at Walt Disney World!!

No one in my family seems to think this is as exciting as I do…but wait for it…just a few hours ago I was in DDT, and pointed out to my partner – “why the heck is a meatball cone? Blech.” So thank you for clarifying this very day that I saw it :-)

I have been a hundred times but do not know where is Martket Place Snacks
    located at in DTN Disney?

Interesting location choice. I was thinking it could have been themed to be marketed as a “futuristic food” for Tomorrowland, or Future World. Kinda jealous about the mealball one. I like the chili one at Cars Land. The green chili verde option is ok, but a meatball one would be tasty!

I tried the chili cone queso in Disneyland in November and found the chili to be great but the bread was bland and didn’t compliment it at all.
