What are you looking most forward to at this year’s Flower and Garden Festival? Leave a comment and let us know your thoughts!

  1. Glory says:

I’m not sure where to start!! We’re going the end of April & I’m thinking we need to plan for 2 1/2 days at Epcot to see & eat everything. I really, really can’t wait to sample the La Vie En Rose Fruit Slushy!! Thank you!!!

  2. Trish says:

I loved the watermelon salad last year. Wish I would use the recipe and make it myself but alas I suppose a trip to Disney will cure my desire for it :)

  3. Kim says:

Where can I find anything close to the Dole Whip? Those drinks look wonderful!

  4. Becky Lee says:

I loved the watermelon salad, the frushi & the violet lemonade. Wish I could make them all at home but the watermelon salad looks complicated & I haven’t found a frushi or violet lemonade recipe. Excited to be going back this year.

  5. Dani says:

I love that they have bubble tea again…but I hope to god that there are straws for it. Last year was a nightmare trying to get the tapioca out. Popping makes me wonder if it will be popping boba, which I guess would eliminate the need for a milkshake straw. China used to have bubble tea…maybe about 12 years ago. They called it QQ Bubble Tea, and it took a long time after for it to catch on here. I’m happy there are tons of bubble tea places in Orlando now!

  6. Ru says:

Oh..well a lot looks good but I’m a little disappointed that Japan isn’t bringing back the green tea flan. I truly enjoyed it.. bought more of those then I should probably admit to..

  7. Wendy says:

    HOORAY :)!!!

  8. ppony says:

I’d LOVE to try a bunch of those items! Frushi! FINALLY a sushi I’ll eat. I hope they continue this mix of F&G and F&W festivals. I’ll come down for sure! Despite my pollen allergy. :P

  9. Paul says:

Thanks for the preview! There are so many interesting items to try, we will have to spend a lot of time at EPCOT in April.

  10. Andrea says:

YAY for vegan options! Will definitely be checking those out!

  11. Christy says:

Loved it last year! We really loved the savory bread pudding!!! It was delish!!! Too bad it will not be returning.

  12. Tricia says:

I think that I will be tasting many new things and one day will not be enough.

  13. Keith says:

Looks like some tasty dishes. However, I would like to see more meat options….it appears that some were cut to make room for vegan options and that’s a shame. Not sure there is enough to warrant a trip for the festival.

  14. Jill says:

    What is a TryIt selection?

  15. marc M. says:

Behold, Food and Wine and Topiaries! My second favorite time of the year.

  16. Paula says:

SO MANY awesome choices! How does one decide? Perhaps by price… there any uniformity in the pricing or is each selection different? Range ?

  17. Halevy says:

I’m so happy to see the spring pancake is back! That ended up being my favorite item last year. My sister and I shared everything so we could try as many items as possible, and we both admitted to wanting to have the spring pancake all to ourselves.

  18. Sam says:

Will these items be eligible for a snack credit under the Disney Dining Plan?

  19. Brooke says:

Ru — I agree! Actually, it was the Green Tea trifle that I fell in love with last year at the Cottage in the UK. Looks like that one is gone from the lineup, too.

Jill — TRYyit! selections feature fresh ingredients, and are dishes that might be new to some guests. Last year, I believe that the TRYit! selection ingredients were often the featured plants growing around each Outdoor Kitchen. It’s a fun way to expand your palate, and is especially fun for the kids!

Paula — We’ll publish the prices as soon as we have them, probably just before the opening of the festival on March 5. Last year, they were in line with Food and Wine Festival Prices, in the $2-6 range for many of the items.

Sam — Usually many of the items are available for a Snack Credit under the DDP. We’ll let you know as soon as we have the information. Stay tuned!

  20. Brooke says:

Glory — That La Vie en Rose Slushie is beautiful AND delish! Definitely a nice addition to the Grown Up Slushie Line Up! I hope you enjoy it!

  21. Brooke says:

Kim — check out this fun post about a few fun places to get Dole Whip outside of Disney! If you happen to be Disney World, you can grab a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom or at Captain Cook’s Snack Company at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. You’ll also find the delicious treat at the Tiki Juice Bar in Disneyland Park.

  22. Jennifer Stewart says:

This is why I LOVE The DFB! I am taking my 5 yr old to the Flower and Garden in April and can plan our snack-meals vis-a-vis this bounty of info! Thank you for making my job easier!

  23. Brooke says:

Jennifer — Yay!!! I’m so glad we could help you plan! That is what we are ALL about!

  24. Sheri says:

Thanks for the info. I’ve been looking forward to seeing all of the options for this year. Do we know if the kiosks accept Disney Gift Cards?

  25. Kassandra says:

Anyone know if there is a passport or list of these like at F and W? Would love to have a checklist!

  26. AJ says:

Kassandra — Yes; there will be passports available at the festival center :-)

  27. Alexia says:

It’s without further ado, not adieu! Please spellcheck before you post something, otherwise it takes away all the credibility!

  28. Kassandra says:

AJ: Thanks! Looking forward to picking one up!

  29. Valerie says:

Just curious…how can one pay for these delicious treats using the Dining Plan? Will they count as snacks or quick service? I’m trying to decide whether to get the Dining Plan when we go, which will be during the time of the Festival, and that information will help me decide. Thank you!

  30. AJ says:

Valerie — Many of them will be available for a snack credit.

  31. Brooke says:

Alexia — Thanks for keeping me on my toes! You’re absolutely right about the error and my background and English and French should have reminded me of that. It’s one of those silly things that spell check doesn’t catch — an error due to late night working. :-) Thanks so much for reading! Hope the rest of the information was helpful to you.

  32. Glory says:

What is the passport?? Is it a list of the options and where they can be found? My 11yr old and 13yr old would love that! One is a major planner and the other one is Autistic and likes to know exactly where/when we’re going….exactly….with no change of schedule or direction. Maybe a map wouldn’t be the best option for him. :-) Thank you for all of your help!! I love reading your blogs….

  33. Brooke says:

Glory — Thanks so much for reading! I’m really glad you enjoy it, and that you find the information to be helpful. :-) You’ll find pictures of last year’s passport in this story about the Flower and Garden Festival — scroll to the very bottom of the post.. I love having them! They’re great souvenirs to remember a fun trip. Good luck!

  34. ilovewalt says:

LOVE your blog, with or without errors. Has always been top notch credible in my book! Thanks so much for the info.

  35. Diane says:

Do you know if there is extra seating around the outdoor kitchens? Normally we book a table at one of the restaurants but it might be more fun to sample all of these small plates. However, I know my mother will also want to sit and relax. :)

  36. Brooke says:

ilovewalt — Thanks so much! :-D

  37. Lisa says:

I will miss the shrimp and grits, truly the best I’ve had. But so many other tasty choices!

  38. cav says:

Will be there this weekend! can’t wait!

  39. mike w says:

“It’s without further ado, not adieu! Please spellcheck before you post something, otherwise it takes away all the credibility!”

I think all of the excessive use of exclamation marks in all of these articles does a fine job of that already.

  40. Kimberly says:

When will you be updating with the item pricing and which/if they are available on Disney Dining plan?

  41. AJ says:

Kimberly — Will have links to all menus tomorrow!

  42. Kimberly says:

Great thanks so much we will be there May 10-16 and will probably only spend one day at Epcot and we want to make sure it is WORTH IT! Our kids will be 5 months, 23 months, 4, and 5 so Epcot doesn’t have enough to warrant 2 days (especially b/c the 4 yr old is petite and will most likely not be 40in.)

  43. Christine says:

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but I have never been to e
Epcots flower festival. I have just seen the food menu, does it cost to try all those samples of food and drinks or is it all included in your ticket? Also we have 3 days with hopper, can we go to epcot to eat at the festival each day if we wanted to?

  44. Brooke says:

Christine — There are additional charges for the food items and drinks. The foods normally are in the $4-6 range, and are appetizer portions. Just about all of the items are Disney Dining Plan snack eligible as well. Hope this helps!

  45. Christine says:

Brooke– Thank you for answering my question is was a big help.

  46. Brooke says:

Christine — Happy to. I’m so glad. :-)

  47. pamela says:

I only saw part one. Is there a part two? Thanks so much this list is fantastic. My kids are foodie’s and this will be perfect to use for their snack credit.
