Just when you thought the Matterhorn Macaroon couldn’t get any cooler (Get it? There’s faux snow on top!), it did. Because donut.
And thanks to our Disneyland go-to gal Heather Sievers (aka @DiningInDisney), we’ve got the scoop on this massive treat. The Matterhorn Macaroon Donut is available at the coffee cart in the hub near the entrance to Fantasy Faire. So it’s super convenient to grab along with your morning java (plus they have a bevy of yummy donuts all the time).
But how, you may ask, did the kooky sweet-treat-designers craft a Matterhorn Macaroon Donut?
But sticking the world famous Matterhorn Macaroon smack dab in the middle of a Vanilla-Frosted Donut. But to really bring home the macaroon’s coconut-ty flavor, the donut is topped with Toasted Coconut. Then, well, there are four triangles of Macaroon. And a drizzle of Caramel. Seriously.
What a beauty! And the profile view on this donut is no joke! It’s massive! (And that’s a full-sized Matterhorn Macaroon on top; it’s angled above and looks more petite than it actually is!) And it looks even more amazing in the shadow of its namesake mountain!
Remember that you can always get the Matterhorn Macaroon at Jolly Holiday — that is…if you don’t want the donut part attached. But why?
What’s your donut style? Macaroon? Cronut? Sundae? Let us know!
