is a mainstay on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Resort. It’s got all the Victorian charm of the iconic park’s main drag, plus it’s full of classic and new treats. It’s the place to get a Raspberry Macaron, creative Cupcakes, and everything in between.
Our Disneyland correspondent Heather (follow her adventures on Instagram @DiningInDisney!) stopped in recently to pick up two seasonal treats — both using summer’s jewel: lemon!
One of the best things about Jolly Holiday is the creativity of the eats guests can find in the pastry case, and the two distinct uses of lemon in the Honey Lemon Cupcake and the Meyer Lemon Strawberry Tart are a perfect example. Plus they’re purty. 😉
The Honey Lemon Cupcake is lemon and top of lemon on top of lemon — and it’s dreamy for the summer!
The topper is a cheerful fondant sunflower, with golden garnishes makin’ it look a little special. These are on top of a pile of fluffy Lemon Buttercream! The Honey comes into play here, sweetening the frosting without adding a ton of honey flavor.
The cake is light and lemony — and it’s filled with more lemon filling! See? Lemon on lemon on lemon. Yes, this is a DFB favorite! (Also — holy cow, that’s a lot of frosting!)
The second lemon iteration is completely different — and completely divine! The Meyer Lemon Strawberry Tart combines two of the season’s best fruit flavors. The appearance is a little… bright. And glittery.
Inside the Shortbread Tart Crust is Lemon Custard with Strawberries. The combination is a terrific balance of tart and sweet. Heather loved it — and loved that it’s a generous size for the price.
