For a while now Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company has sold crave-worthy GIANT donuts at the Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea kiosks throughout Disney World.
Joining the scene more recently, though, are the also-giant Mickey Celebration donuts (a limited-time snack available through June 30th as part of Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration found at The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland). So…we began to wonder what’s the difference between these massive treats? And which one would we recommend when a donut craving strikes?
That’s why we decided to try both at the same time to see how they compare when it comes to the cute factor, price, and taste!
Taste-wise, both the giant Mickey donut and the giant Joffrey’s donut are, simply, pretty delicious. In fact, they taste VERY similar even though they are made by different companies. But, if you’re still a little skeptical, we have reviewed both of these donuts before, so if you want to dive into the taste even more check those out! View the Mickey Celebration donut review here. And the giant Joffrey’s donut review here!
Onto the price… we purchased a giant strawberry donut from the Joffrey’s Revive kiosk in Tomorrowland near Space Mountain. The price including tax is $5.32.
Then, we purchased a giant Mickey Celebration donut from The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland. The price of this donut after tax is $9.58 which is a pretty big difference (though keep in mind that those Ears add some extra donut goodness for ya).
Now, the Mickey donut is clearly cuter than the standard giant Joffrey’s donut… Though Joffrey’s does serve new mini-donuts that are super cute in their own right. But, for the purpose of this post, the Mickey donut takes the cute vote.
So, since these two donuts taste the same…it really comes down to what’s important to you. Are you more concerned with look or price? If you looking for a cheaper option, the Joffrey’s donut is the clear winner. If you’re concerned with Instagram cuteness, then go for the Mickey donut!

I love those Joffrey Donuts. I only bought one once at the stand you mentioned by Space Mountain. It was day-old! I should have brought it back. I’m still mad about it!
Dawn Giammarco says
wow twice the price! thanks for that information.
I don’t eat a lot of donuts and the love the mickey one. But if I found out I could have had
one at half the price I would have been mad at myself.

And then there are those deliciously warm and sugary favs at Typhoon Lagoon. We don’t buy many sweet treats but those Bag -o-Donuts get ya every time! ?

We got a chocolate Mickey donut at the Starbucks on Main Street and while it was cute it was extremely dry and didn’t taste good at all. Should have known when it took forever to get it because they said they said they had to go to the basement to get more. We should have taken it back. We choked down a bit then threw it away.
