News: D-Luxe Burger to Open May 2016 in Disney Springs

Remember the big news a few weeks back announcing some of the additions on the way with the continued expansion of Disney Springs? It included the goods on some more new eateries making their way to the area formerly known as Downtown Disney, which are set to open in phases beginning May 15th — spots like Amorette’s Patisserie, the Coca-Cola Store, and a few more details about Sprinkles and its already-famous Cupcake ATM.

Well, it looks like the first of these new additions on the way will be (drum roll, please…) D-Luxe Burger! Disney has announced that this Disney-owned and operated gourmet burger-and-shake joint will open its doors to this western-inspired spot in May, set in the Town Center section of Disney Springs. Even better… they’ve shared some details on the MENU!  [Read more…]

News: Orange-Scented Gift Cards Debut at the 2016 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

Are you familiar with the handy-dandy Disney Gift Card wristlets that are so popular during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival?

Food and Wine Festival Disney Gift Card Wristlet

Food and Wine Festival Disney Gift Card Wristlet

These wristband-meets-mini gift cards were introduced years ago for ease of use while visiting the Festival’s Marketplace Booths. Rather than digging in your wallet for cash or a card to pay for your items while trying to balance a couple of small plates and a beverage, these little guys allow you to simply strap your form of payment on your wrist, making transactions at the booths that much easier. News: Wishes Dessert Party Debuts at Narcoossee’s in Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort

A new viewing opportunity to enjoy Magic Kingdom’s Wishes nighttime fireworks spectacular is making its debut at the Grand Floridian’s Narcoossee’s.

Current view-and-dine parties for Wishes include the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland Terrace, and Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise. News! Magic Kingdom’s Diamond Horseshoe Offers Table Service Dining For a Limited Time

If you’re heading down to Walt Disney World during the busy Spring season, you’ve got another table service option in Magic Kingdom.

We’re talking about Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland!

This spot has been around forever — and shares pedigree with a similar spot, The Golden Horseshoe, in Disneyland. But in Walt Disney World, we usually only see Diamond Horseshoe open at the very busiest times of the year (think Holidays or Summer). When it is opened, it’s usually for quick service lunch. Even more rarely, you’ll find a dinner buffet. But today, we’re sharing something completely new!

From from March 13 to May 30, you can book an advance dining reservation to enjoy all-you-care-to-enjoy dining at Diamond Horseshoe for both Lunch and Dinner.

This is not a buffet; the meal is served in courses, comes plated, and includes a beverage. However, you’ll be able to choose from various entrees and desserts (appetizers are standard). Here are a few more details.

Guests begin their meal with complimentary breadservice — and it’s Cornbread!!! Ah. Disney cornbread is the BEST. :-) Then your first course will be a Frontier Salad, which includes Greens, Tomatoes, Roasted Corn, and Cornbread Croutons. Chipotle Ranch Dressing completes the plate. [Read more…]
