Hi there, friends! Welcome to another roundup of What’s New around the Disney World Resorts!
Today, we’ll be chatting about Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts. Let’s get started!
There are sure signs of spring all over Walt Disney World! And while the most obvious might be the 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival which just kicked off last week, another is the arrival of the Spring Milkshake at the Beach Club Resort’s Beaches and Cream.
The Dreamsicle Shake is custom-made for fans of that orange-meets-vanilla flavor combo. [Read more…]
The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts have so much to offer for the Disney Food Fan from ice cream sundaes and casual eats to a steakhouse! We’ve got all the menu updates for these two resorts here!
Stormalong Bay stalwart Hurricane Hanna’s has had a recent menu update and we couldn’t wait to share it with you!
We’ve heard from many fans of Beaches & Cream Soda Shop ever since we posted about the popular spot’s planned three-month long refurbishment. Most of you (and us) wanted to know “when will it close?” and we think we’re getting closer to an official date.
Beaches & Cream is the super popular, super hard to get a reservation for, home to fun sundaes and treats including the Kitchen Sink, the No Way Jose, and now those Over-the-Top Milkshakes (which, as of yesterday, were no longer being served…we think because they ran out of the plastic serving cups…so they’ll likely be back soon). One of our favorite spots, Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, will be closing in August for a three month refurbishment.
The super popular restaurant is primarily known for ice cream (especially the Famous Kitchen Sink and even boozy shakes for adults), but it’s also a great place to grab a burger, grilled cheese, and other diner favorites. [Read more…]
If there’s one sweet trend that’s still going strong, it’s over-the-top Milkshakes!
You’ll find them around Disney World at spots like Planet Hollywood and the All Star Resorts, and even over at Universal Studios at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen.
But there are some new Milkshakes hot (or cold?!) off the presses at a place in Disney World that’s synonymous with ice cream greatness, and that’s Beaches & Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! It’s always been a place well known for Sundaes like the famous Kitchen Sink. And a couple years ago, Beaches & Cream made its milkshake mark with an array of hard Shakes and Floats just for adults. But the shakes we’re checking out today are brand new on the scene.
Now, when you hear that these new shakes come in Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry, you may be wondering, “What’s the big deal?”
Well, let us tell you. Better yet, let us SHOW you! [Read more…]
Ladies and Gentlemen, we’re back at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop for TWO reasons.
One: We can never stay away from the home of amazing ice cream creations like the No Way Jose, Frozen Sunshine, Brownie a la Mode, and the always epic Kitchen Sink for too terribly long and…
Two: We just HAD to check out the new ADULT BEVERAGES MENU featuring Hard Floats and Milkshakes!!!
WHA?!?!??!…you’re probably saying? That’s right… if you’re ready to enjoy some ice cream concoctions with an adult twist, it turns out that Beaches & Cream should be your next stop. Like, PRONTO.
My great pal @danielwanderman alerted us to this wonderful development at our favorite old-fashioned ice cream parlor in Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and it is a DOOZY.
Just take a gander… [Read more…]

We can all use tips on how to save a little money now and then. And that’s never more true than when you’re planning a Disney vacation!
It may seem like the impossible task: finding a bargain in Walt Disney World. And that’s seems especially true when it comes to food.
But believe it or not, there are some truly fantastic meals at Disney Restaurants for less than $20 dollars! And I’m not just talking counter service.
Let’s take a look at some of my favorite meals that you can still score at Walt Disney World for under $20. I think you’ll be surprised at all of the cool places you can eat without bleeding your wallet dry!
Ah, Tonga Toast. If you haven’t had it, you really need to get it on your list.
To enjoy this one, book your breakfast advance dining reservation for Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Thick-cut Sourdough Bread is stuffed with ripe bananas before it’s deep fried and rolled in Cinnamon Sugar. Served with a side of Strawberry Coulis for dipping/pouring, it’s the perfect, decadent start to your Disney Day. And since it’s incredibly hefty, it will keep you going for hours. [Read more…]

Okay, so that’s the name of my FAVORITE sundae at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort…as well as an exclamation of surprise!
I’m here to give you lot a heads up that Beaches and Cream, our favorite go-to when you DON’T have a reservation for a restaurant in Disney World, is now taking online and phone advance dining reservations.
With an upcoming Disney trip, our DFB editor, Kim, just booked lunch for early January!!
And… my Mom (yep, AJ’s Mom for those who have met her) is at Walt Disney World right now and confirmed with the restaurant! Reservations officially begin booking for December 18th and later, but if you call 407-WDW-DINE now, Walt Disney World Dining will accept and honor your reservation prior to that date. Woohoo!!
If you visit Disney Dining online, you’ll now see Beaches and Cream has the “Find A Table” option!
If you are booking online, available tables will first begin showing for December 18th. Holiday visitors should book their upcoming lunch or dinner at Beaches and Cream now. Once word gets out, these [Read more…]
