If you haven’t previously visited Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin, now is an especially good time to do it!
We’re coming at you today from The Fountain at Disney’s Dolphin Resort!
And if “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM,” this is THE place to get it if you’re staying at the Swan & Dolphin.
In fact, for those less familiar with Disney’s Swan & Dolphin Resorts, they’re just a stroll away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios, in the same general area of Disney’s BoardWalk, Yacht, and Beach Club Resorts. And if you’re having trouble getting into Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club (it’s been a little more challenging ever since they started accepting Advance Dining Reservations), The Fountain can be a terrific alternative.
But this isn’t just some shadow of Beaches and Cream. Boasting diner favorites (and twists on the classics) as well as one of the best ice cream selections on Disney property (shakes, sundaes, and more), The Fountain is worthy of a visit in its own right, and I’d like to show you why…
One of our favorite events that takes place at the same time as the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is the awesome Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic! (You can check out all of the 2013 Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic menus, wine tastings, and more, here!)
And this year, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has come up with a fun way to involve YOU in planning the event!
Vote for the Featured Seminar at the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic is an event like no other. In addition to fun and informative food and beverage seminars, the foodcentric celebration includes an incredible array of Causeway Tasting Booths during the two-night showcase.
In a move that’s new for 2013, the Swan and Dolphin is asking their Facebook Fans to decide which of the following three seminars will be featured! Here are the options:
Cocktail 101: Stop by Crescent Terrace to enjoy a special presentation from one of our property’s bar-certified mixologists. Learn how to concoct and sample a few of the Swan and Dolphin guest-favorite cocktails.
Straight from the Still: Learn about the origins of America’s spirit, Bourbon. Sample some cocktails crafted with our mixologist’s favorite varieties.
The Truth About Blush: The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin celebrates PINKtober with this drink seminar. Join the [Read more…]
Fresh Mediterranean Market
I recently had the best panini I’ve ever tasted. Seriously. And it was at Fresh — a casual dining restaurant in the Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort (within walking distance of two WDW theme parks!).
Featuring Mediterranean recipes reminiscent of Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Morocco, Fresh offers simple, flavorful menu options. We chatted in a previous post about the fun new drink offerings that Fresh has dreamed up, and the buffet breakfast has something for everyone.
The a la carte offerings at breakfast and lunch also offer some great choices. Another perk: an unlimited dessert buffet is available to all who order a salad or sandwich from the lunch menu!
On my recent visit, I started with [Read more…]
Here’s the scenario: you’ve spent the day at the park, you’re exhausted, your kids are exhausted, your spouse is exhausted, you don’t have an ADR, and you’d rather not stand in line at another counter service restaurant. You need comfort food and you need it now.
I’ve got a great answer for you…
The Fountain at the Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort brings back memories of your favorite diner. With a bright red stools at the tiled counter, an ice cream freezer flanking one wall, booths in the back, and more milkshakes than you can could possibly drink listed on the menu, this is the perfect place to sit back, relax, and indulge [Read more…]
For years, I’ve been hearing from various sources that the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin’s Il Mulino New York Trattoria is the best Italian food on Disney World property, hands down, and I finally got the chance to try the restaurant on my recent trip to Orlando!
For those who haven’t been there, the Swan and Dolphin is located right between Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and is within walking distance of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park. Open only for dinner, the higher-end restaurant’s prices range between [Read more…]
