Well, folks, “when it rains, it pours” regarding Disney food news this week! Here’s a recap from DFB before we launch into the Disney Food Post Weekly Round-Up.

smoresIn honor of those Disney fans heading to Tent Fest in Walt Disney World this weekend, I got the great suggestion to chat a bit about Disney s’mores!

There are two restaurants that currently have fun s’mores desserts on the menu; the first is more of a kid-friendly version, while the second will satisfy any of our many grown-up marshmallow cravings:

Le Cellier’s colorful s’mores-on-a-stick has been a go-to kids’ dessert for years, and it never fails to impress. “Built” with a graham cracker, chocolate, and ice cream base, the “wow” factor comes with a sprinkle-y marshmallow topping it all off.

More on the Garden Town Breakfast at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

F&GlogoThe Disney Parks Blog has released some delicious information about the brand new Garden Town Breakfast at the 2010 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival (which started today!).

Held on March 21, April 18 & May 16, in a second-floor dining room at the Garden Town Wonder’s Retreat, the Garden Town Breakfast will provide guests with a delicious meal made partially from ingredients grown at Epcot’s The Land pavilion!

Here are just a few of the potential menu offerings: “Warm caramel baked sweet plaintain coconut crumble…four-cheese quiche with puff pastry and garden peas…chicken sausage with caramelized green apples…” and “Danish pastries, scrambled eggs, oven-roasted potatoes and French toast … orange poppy seed bread with real butter … Sangria … yogurt with fresh fruit and granola … spinach and tomato frittata.”

Tables in Wonderland March Dining Events

This month’s Tables in Wonderland events include another Wave Dinner on March 18th, highlighting Florida’s own Santa Sweets, Inc.; and a very cool Raglan Road meet-the-Chef event (hosted by our favorite celebrity Master Chef, Kevin Dundon) scheduled for March 30th. This month’s Tables in Wonderland email also featured the new Garden Town Breakfast highlight from the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival; all Disney guests are welcome to register for this.

Foodie Fun at Disney World’s Flower and Garden Festival

F&GlogoThe official Epcot Flower and Garden Festival guide just came out describing all the adventures and attractions you can experience this year at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival! There are a few highlights for us foodies, too! All of the events listed below are free with Epcot admission, except for the Garden Town Breakfast.

The Festival runs this year from March 3rd through May 16th, 2010, and includes some great opportunities for Disney fans, even if you don’t exactly have a green thumb.
