Challenge Accepted: How One Family Completed the 2018 DFB Cupcake Crawl!

Y’all, when we issued the 2018 Walt Disney World Cupcake Crawl Challenge a couple weeks ago, we knew it had the potential to be a deliciously fun activity for our amazing DFB readers — but we didn’t know just how adorable it could be!

You’ll recall that the challenge included fourteen of our favorite Walt Disney World cupcakes — plus a few bonus items that we just couldn’t help adding. The Rose Gold Cupcake sold at Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion at Epcot has been a particular fan favorite — even with a whole bunch of rose gold treats popping up every. where.

Review: Flower Pot Cupcake and Ursula Cupcake — Available through October 31 in Epcot

But, well, allow me to tell the Tale of Two Cupcakes. I’ll begin with the bad news first because I believe it’s always better just to get it over with. The Ursula Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons is… gross.

The fondant scroll for Ariel’s contract is a cute touch (although we can see Ariel has printed her name, not so much signed it). On top is Ursula’s shell necklace — also the tool used to capture Ariel’s lovely singing voice — and more tentacle-y fondant touches. [Read more…]
