Epcot Food and Wine Festival Recipe: Grilled Verlasso Salmon with Quinoa Salad and Arugula Chimichurri

If you’re like us, you’re already counting down the days until the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Begins!

If you haven’t already done it, mark your calendars for September 19 — the date that the food and fun gets underway!

Recently, we had the opportunity to see and taste some of the brand new dishes that will be featured at this year’s festival.

Today, we have a recipe for one of our favorites — Grilled Verlasso Salmon with Quinoa Salad and Arugula Chimichurri. The dish will be featured at this year’s new Patagonia Booth.

It’s an especially interesting dish, because the Salmon is sustainably farm-raised. In fact, it’s the first and only ocean-raised farm fish to receive the “Good Alternative” buy ranking from the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Watch Group.

The 2012 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is well underway, and one of the winners of this year’s festival (yet again!) is the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Ganache from the Ireland Marketplace!

Long a favorite stop on the Food and Wine Festival Booth crawl, Ireland is a fan favorite this year as always.

And with this incredible dish, as well as the rich and delicious Lobster and Scallop Fisherman’s Pie, is it any wonder why there is always a line at this booth?

Epcot Food and Wine Festival Recipe: Apple Strudel from Germany

We’re definitely counting down to the 2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival here at DFB! And one of the most anticipated details of the Festival every year are the World Showcase Marketplace Booth menus.

While I love to try all the new menu items, I always enjoy welcoming back old favorites as well; and we work very hard to make sure you know what to expect when you start traversing those kiosks. Check out the full menus as well as some great food photos from the booths this year, here!

German Marketplace at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival

I thought we could have a look in on the uber-popular Germany Booth. They’re changing up the menu very slightly this year with new twists on old menu items. A Roast Bratwurst will be in the Pretzel Roll this year, and I can’t wait to try the new Schinken Nudel (Pasta Gratin with Ham and Cheese) — twist on the long-standing schnitzel!
