For many, MANY months, we’ve been trying to unravel one of Disney World’s biggest mysteries…
…when will EPCOT finally open its out-of-this-world restaurant, Space 220?
We seriously just cannot get enough of EPCOT these days!
We’re just happy to be riding around on Spaceship Earth, eating our way around the world, oh, and seeing all the great NEW things at this park.
Moments ago, we showed you what the crowd levels looked like at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but now it’s time to get some perspective on what EPCOT’s like on the first day of ITS historical grand reopening!
Not to mention, today is the first day of A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival featuring more than 20 marketplace food booths scattered throughout the World Showcase. Let’s see who’s arrived to do some wining and dining!
Disney World’s EPCOT will reopen to guests again starting July 15th, along with Disney’s Hollywood Studios. (Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopened over the weekend).
Wednesday is a big day for guests at EPCOT for another reason, too… it is also the day that the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival kicks off! And even though the Festival will run well into the fall, guests at the Festival will also experience aspects of the park’s SPRING event, the Flower & Garden Festival!
Is it weird to lose sleep over a giant geodesic sphere?
Well, we tagged along with a friend for Cast Member previews of EPCOT and got to see inside that giant golf ball we all know and love today. And while there have been some changes made, we can tell ya Computer Lady is safe and sound! In fact, she’s not going anywhere for the time being! 😉
Disney is gearing up for EPCOT to reopen this week.
With the start of A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and a ton of new health measures, we’re expecting some changes when we get back into the park. We’re even already seeing some changes! Today, we noticed the addition of the Mobile Order feature to a favorite EPCOT quick-service spot!
Disney World is constantly bringing in new updates. Just look at Epcot’s Future World right now!
Construction wall central!
Still, some of the oldest parts of Disney have a good dose of charm to them that we just can’t pass up. Today, we’re taking a look at seven outdated things at Disney World that we’re TOTALLY cool with! Check them out!
We could all benefit from hearing a little bit of Judi Dench’s calm, reassuring monologue that begins to softly play after boarding our Spaceship Earth “time machine”…
…“Like a grand and miraculous spaceship, our planet has sailed through the universe of time; and for a brief moment, we have been among its passengers…”
In true Walt spirit, Disney World just keeps moving forward! And we thought there was a lot of construction LAST month! Boy, we didn’t know what we were in for!
With much of Future World closed and blocked off, Epcot is certainly embracing its “work-in-progress” status — and Epcot isn’t the only park either. There’s significant construction all over the parks right now. After all, Disney World has to look its best for the 50th Anniversary next year! We’re taking a look at some NEW permits Disney has been filing to clue us in on what to expect next!
We’ve been hanging on every detail of the new space-themed restaurant that is currently still under construction in Epcot.
And while Space 220 Restaurant has experienced a few setbacks (it was originally supposed to open in the winter) it seems the final details are finally falling into place — including its flatware!
