Take the flavor of the beloved Pineapple and Vanilla Swirl Dole Whip, and combine it with a cupcake! [Read more…]
Intermission Food Court in Disney World’s All Star Music Resort is showing some evidence that Princess Aurora’s fairy godmothers may have been near…
The telltale signs are on the Princess Aurora Cupcake in honor of Sleeping Beauty, which you’ll currently spot as the current Cupcake of the Month in the bakery case!
Clearly, Flora wanted the icing to be pink, while Merryweather wanted it to be blue, and here is the stunning result! [Read more…]
Walt Disney World pastry chefs are always conceptualizing new cupcakes to wow their guests, and the Disney Parks Blog shared two brand new princess-inspired cupcakes that we just had to show you.
In Landscape of Flavors at the Art of Animation Resort, guests can now pick up the Mermaid Tail Cupcake. This is a vanilla cupcake filled with pineapple compote and topped with a swirl of coconut buttercream. Garnishes include a glitter-dusted white chocolate mermaid tail (a la Ariel, of course!), crispy pearls, and graham cracker crumbs.
The colors totally pop, and we love the idea of pairing the tropical flavors of pineapple and coconut. [Read more…]
Guests staying at the All Star Resorts — Sports, Movies, and Music — should definitely make a point to peruse the bakery cases in the Resort food courts. Themed character cupcakes of late have included the Cheshire Cat Cupcake at All Star Music’s Intermission Food Court. And now we’re back at the very same spot to try this month’s Merida Cupcake!
A note before we dig in… you’ll notice that the sign underneath the Merida Cupcakes in the bakery case reads “$5.49” for the price, but I was actually charged $5.99, so there seems to be an error on the sign (unless I was mischarged). [Read more…]
Not too long ago we were telling you about Disney’s obsession with push pops, but now it seems the trend train has moved on to another station: BOWLS! Yup, the plate is, evidently, overrated, and the Disney Parks restaurants are all about the bowl now! Let’s take a look at a few of the locations where we’re seeing the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and customizable bowl take over menus in Disney parks and resorts!
Satu’li Canteen, Disney’s Animal Kingdom
First up, the undisputed Home of the Bowls: Satu’li Canteen in Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. The customizable bowls have been Satu’li’s main menu items since day one, so it’s not so much a trend at Satu’li as it is a lifestyle. 😉
The Satu’li bowls are customizable, so diners elect their base, protein, and sauce to make it just right. We love the Grilled Beef, but you can’t go wrong with the Grilled Chicken, either…and everyone’s got their favorite. Better yet: get the Combination Bowl and enjoy a little of both!
We love us some cupcakes here at the Disney Food Blog (check out our Disney Cupcake Challenge!), and no year in review could possibly be complete without an ode to some of our favorites!
So for your delicious viewing pleasure: DFB’s Favorite Cupcakes of 2018!
Oh, yes. The year in cupcakes kicked off in high gear with the grandest cupcake of them all: the Rose Gold Cupcake! We found this beauty way back in January at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot’s Future World, and then rose gold treats suddenly began appearing everywhere!
We didn’t hate the rose gold trend. We were in for the ears, the spirit jerseys, and — especially — the cupcakes! This one from Main Street Bakery was a big hit due to all. that. frosting!
“We’re all mad here…” at All Star Music Resort’s Intermission Food Court!
Why? Because we’re a little crazy for Intermission’s Cupcake of the Month of November, which is the Cheshire Cat Cupcake! It’s hard not to notice the beguiling grin peeking out from within the selections in the bakery case… [Read more…]
Remember the Peter Pan Float that came flying into Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom this summer? Well, looks like Peter has started a trend, because even more snacks based on beloved characters are coming to Magic Kingdom soon! Storybook Treats will soon be home to a Tinkerbell treat!
Starting November 1st, Tink’s Pixie-Dusted Cone will feature the same key lime soft serve as in the Peter Pan Float. It will be topped with white chocolate wings, and garnished with green cotton candy… oh, and Pixie Dust, too, of course!
Then, on November 7th, The Lunching Pad will serve up a new Space Ranger Slush! This Buzz-worthy slush will be layered with purple grape and green apple slush, complete with a green rock candy straw. [Read more…]

Disney World All Star Sports Updates and Menu Changes
We were so excited to find some of these fall-themed baked goods that we already wrote a post dedicated to them! They look super fun, but they actually taste pretty good, too!
