Halloween means lots of cool Halloween themed items in and around the parks like the Oogie Boogie Popcorn Bucket, Poison Apple Glow Cube, Halloween Themed Resort Mugs and the Headless Horseman Straw Clip.
We’re Back in Animal Kingdom on a search for new food, merchandise, and any seasonal treats for you! This trip didn’t disappoint!
We’ll start today’s report out with a new food item in Pandora!
The famous Poison Apple has been casting its spell in Disney World and Disneyland over the past several years during Halloween in several forms from Poison Caramel Apples, to Poison Apple glow cubes, to a new Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake. And this year, you can scare up the latest incarnation in Disney World’s Animal Kingdom: it’s the Green Poison Apple Stein!
Though in previous years the stein has been available in red, the green is making its debut in Animal Kingdom. We spotted ours at Mahindi (also known by its previous name, Harambe Popcorn), but it should be available at various outdoor snack locations throughout the park. [Read more…]
The Animal Kingdom called out to us and we had to visit this week! We found so many new food items AND new merch that we had to make our regular “What’s New” into two posts! We’re tackling food first, of course!
Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Discovery Island New Menu Items
Creature Comforts (this park’s Starbucks location) is offering a new Strawberry Cake Pop that we think is smiling at us! It’s really delicious if you’re a strawberry fan!
Good news for coffee lovers out there who don’t want to stand in a Starbucks line for a cup of regular brewed coffee – the hot dog cart located near Pizzafari and Tiffins now has coffee available starting at park open and is typically available until around 1pm.
Nomad Lounge has some new menu items available – and these are included on their allergy-friendly menu. Items include:
- Accara: Black Eyed Pea Fritters
- Impossible Burger Sliders
- Truffle Poutine
The chefs at Tiffins have been busy! There is a new lunch tasting menu as well as other new items on their menu including Peaches and Cream appetizer, Crispy Corn Cake entree, and a Tiffins Dessert Trio. The Lunch Tasting Menu is served from 11:30 – 3:30 and is $35.00 per person. It includes choice of one appetizer and one entree OR choice of one entree and one dessert.

Hey, guys! We’re back with another DFB Video this weekend, and we’re taking you on a Food Tour of Animal Kingdom’s Africa!
Animal Kingdom’s Africa is a stunning area in the park both visually and culturally. But it’s also home to some seriously delicious Animal Kingdom eats!
From dining with Mickey and friends at the park’s Character Meal at Tusker House to visiting one of our favorite bars in Disney World, to enjoying a Dole Whip (with or without RUM), Animal Kingdom’s Africa has a ton of bragging rights when it comes to food. Jungle Juice (aka Lilikoi Juice at the Polynesian, aka POG Juice at other spots) has long been a breakfast favorite of mine. And I was over-the-moon excited when I first found it in slushy form a while back at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s the perfect refreshing treat as you’re taking in the exotic sights, sounds, and flavors of this special park.
