Dining in Disneyland: Caramel Apple Smoothie & Pumpkin Muffin from Schmoozies

Halloween Time at Disney California Adventure is much more “quiet” than it is over at Disneyland.  There are, however, a handful of special menu items that are available through October 31st.  On a recent visit I discovered a fun combo at Schmoozies in Hollywood Land.

The Caramel Apple Smoothie and Pumpkin Muffin are currently being featured as Holiday Specials.

Of course I had to check both of these items out.  The Caramel Apple Smoothie is made from fresh Granny Smith Apples, Caramel & Ice Cream.  I think it can be called a smoothie because it has real fruit in it, but don’t get me wrong, it’s NOT a healthy item. It’s really more like a shake.  Totally delicious, but not something you’d get from a juice bar!

Dining in Disneyland: The Pumpkin Muffin is Back!

This Friday marks the official start of Halloween Time at The Disneyland Resort. I was so excited when I saw this guy on Main Street, USA!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Anyhow, as I strolled along, I decided to pop into the Jolly Holiday Bakery.

I recently tried several of the new items there and didn’t really expect to find anything in addition to them.  But guess what — the Pumpkin Muffin is back early!  Even though I was on my way to a big lunch, I had to try one.

Dining in Disneyland: Thanksgiving Treats

Our Disneyland columnist, Heather Sievers, is back with some photos of Thanksgiving treats in Disneyland! Be sure to check out her other posts in her Dining in Disneyland column.

Let’s be Thankful!

Although I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas time at Disneyland, I do feel sort of bad for Thanksgiving. Halloween pretty much turns into Christmas overnight. Today, at The Blue Ribbon Bakery and The Candy Palace, both on Disneyland’s Main Street USA, I found two treats that made me THANKFUL.

I know AJ recently posted a photo of the pumpkin muffin, well guess what? I got to taste one today and let me tell you this, if you like pumpkin desserts, you need to get your hands on one of these before they are gone for the season.

Pumpkin Muffin

Honestly, this “muffin” seems more like a cupcake to me. It size is enormous, it’s super moist, and it has the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor. Not too overpowering, just [Read more…]
