HAPPY HOLIDAYS from Walt Disney World! The season is in full swing with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, and the Flurry of Fun at Hollywood Studios.
Each of these events are known for offering extras treats and goodies… but guess what?!? Counter Service locations all over Disney World are getting in on the extra food fun!! Check out these brand new offerings, which we found on Mobile Order via the My Disney Experience app!
In fact, ALL of these particular seasonal offerings can be found via Mobile Order, so if you’re not familiar with how it works, you’ll want to read all about Mobile Order here!!
Now, hold onto your Santa Hats, because there is LOTS to share!!
Mighty Casey himself is getting in the holiday mood! At Casey’s Corner, special holiday items include the Hot Diggity Holiday Dog available in regular or footlong size.
What’s Thanksgiving Day without Turkey with all the trimmings? For years now, Table Service restaurants all over Disney World have served traditional Thanksgiving Day meals to visitors on Thanksgiving Day. But this year, a few Counter Service locations are even getting in on the Thanksgiving fun!
In Magic Kingdom, you can stop by Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe on November 23rd for a full meal of Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce, and Gravy.
Though Satu’li Canteen — located in Disney World’s newest land of Pandora — The World of AVATAR — is still a new restaurant, there is already a change to report.
The main dining establishment in Pandora has discontinued its Breakfast service for now.
I say “for now” because guests will still be able to catch breakfast at Satu’li Canteen from time to time. It will be an option during peak crowd seasons such as the weeks right around the Christmas holiday and Spring Break.
Wishing there was a way to skip the long wait lines for the new rides in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora — The World of AVATAR, and other Animal Kingdom attractions?
Well, there’s a new way to do just that. With the addition of Pandora and expanded nighttime options — including the Rivers of Light Nighttime Spectacular — Animal Kingdom park is hotter than ever (and we’re not just talkin’ temps!). The new Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP Tour offers a 4-hour guided group tour with Fastpass+ for the park’s most popular attractions, along with eats to tide you over during your adventure.
Fastpass+ access includes the following attractions: Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Avatar Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey, Dinosaur, and the Rivers of Light nighttime spectacular.
Enjoy the Satu’li Canteen Sampler at Satu’li Canteen along with specialty beverages (alcoholic options will be available for guests 21-and-over). Popcorn and a souvenir lanyard as well as “other surprises,” are part of the tour as well. [Read more…]
Mobile Order has arrived at Epcot!
Mobile Order is the still relatively new process that allows guests – via the My Disney Experience app – to pre-order and pre-pay for meals at select Counter Service locations around Disney World. This enables guests to bypass the ordering queue at their selected restaurant and go straight to pick up their food upon arrival! (You can learn about how the entire process works from start to finish here)
Next up was Magic Kingdom, where Columbia Harbour House, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café, Pinocchio Village Haus, and Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant now all offer Mobile Order.
One location so far in Disney Springs offers the service: D-Luxe Burger.
Satu’li Canteen is the Counter Service restaurant in Disney World’s newest land, and it’s already made a name for itself as a spot for innovation. How? Well, it was the first restaurant to offer the new Mobile Order process, which allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their meal, then bypass the ordering queue and pick up their order right away upon arrival. (You can learn more about Mobile Order here.)
And now, Satu’li Canteen is earning a headline for innovation once more thanks to the offering of the shareable Satu’li Sampler Platter!
The Satu’li Sampler Platter brings to mind the Secret Nachos Rio Grande Challenge at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café, custom made to serve a crowd! Unlike the Nachos, though, the Satu’li Sampler Platter is no secret. It comes right up on the Satu’li Canteen menu, as you can see on the screenshot from the My Disney Experience app Mobile Order section below.
You can see in the notes (if you look reeaaaalllyyy close ) that the Platter is only available AFTER 5:00 pm until close. It comes with the guests’ choice of four proteins, a sampling of each base and sauce, and four non-specialty beverages. [Read more…]
