It’s almost here! The 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival starts in less than two weeks and we can’t wait to try all the dishes and beverages at the Marketplace Booths!

The Festival kicks off September 14 and runs through November 14, and this year several new Marketplace Booths are featured in both Future World and World Showcase.

Today we’re giving you a preview of two of the new Future World Marketplace Booths: Chocolate Studio and the Wine and Dine Studio.

Epcot Food & Wine Festival Food Pictures and Review: Scotland and Brazil Booths

We are coming to you LIVE from the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival this week!

It’s been a whirlwind of fabulous food and we have so much to tell you about! But today, we thought we’d bring you our very first Marketplace Booths of 2013.

Let’s take a closer look at two new booths — one brand new and one returning — Scotland and Brazil.

Scotland

Following the success of the popular animated film Brave, it seemed like the right time for Scotland to debut as the Food and Wine Festival’s newest booth option.

We’ve been anxiously awaiting final word on what would be served to represent Scotland, and the final menu was met with mixed reviews from readers.

In the end, sponsors of the Scotland booth and Disney chose a menu that would represent some current trends in Scottish cooking and that would appeal to a broad audience.

Salmon is always a popular option with festival goers, and the Seared Scottish Salmon with Cauliflower Puree, Watercress and Malt Vinaigrette is proving to be a great addition to this year’s lineup! In fact, it made our Best of the Fest List!

Guest Review: Napa Rose Chef’s Counter in Disneyland Resort

Please welcome back guest author Heather Jones as she shares a review of the Chef’s Counter at Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian in Disneyland Resort!

Recently my husband and I had the opportunity to take a quick trip out to California to visit friends and of course, Disneyland! Because this was a bonus trip, money was a little tight. However, I had always dreamed of dining at the famous Napa Rose Restaurant.

We decided to save our pennies by snacking our way through the weekend and then have a big, splash-out meal at the end of the trip. I’m here to report that this was a great move!

Atmosphere

Napa Rose is located in Disneyland’s flagship hotel, The Grand Californian.

We started our journey in the lounge. There were plenty of cozy areas to relax and enjoy a drink while we waited for our reservation, but I just dashed around snapping pictures.

After a short wait, we were ushered into the dining room, which features floor to ceiling windows that allow beautiful views of the lush landscaping. We, however, would not be sitting at one of these tables because we decided to experience the Chef’s Counter.

Guest Review: Chef Robert Irvine Culinary Demo at Epcot Food & Wine Festival

Join us in welcoming 14-year-old guest author Katie Smith with a review of the culinary demonstration given by super popular Chef Robert Irvine at the 2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival! I love hearing about the Food and Wine Festival from the perspective of one of our  younger readers! Thanks,  Katie!

On Thursday October 25, 2012, my family and I got to see Robert Irvine’s culinary demonstration at the 2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

Atmosphere

We had been to Cat Cora’s culinary demonstration earlier that month and thought we knew what to expect. Turns out, we had no idea. I am a huge fan of Robert Irvine, so I was really excited to watch him cook and eat his food!

To start out, there was a representative from Hannah Winery & Vineyards from Sonoma County, California. The wine was a Hanna Chardonnay.

Then Robert was introduced and proceeded to tell everyone to stand up, put their cameras down, their hands in the air and to go wild. It was a good way to warm up the crowd.

Then, he started cooking the dish, which was a Seared Scallop, Polenta, and Demi-glace. He was very big on audience participation and had an audience helper on stage almost the whole time.
