  • New restaurants and restaurant revitalization is coming to Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland. Watch for the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and more!
  • Gourmet hot dogs are on the menu at Fairfax Fare in Hollywood Studios.
  • The dates for Disney World Free Dining being offered for 2011-2012 have been changed and new booking codes were released. Check to see if your dates are now listed! (Any bookings under the original codes will be honored. No worries!)
  • New menu items have been unveiled at two Magic Kingdom restaurants –- Cosmic Ray’s and Columbia Harbour House!

As you know, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is back this year with even more seminars, food, and tastings — and we’ve got the MENU below!

The Second Annual Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic will take place Friday, October 7, and Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 5:30 – 9:00 pm. Food and wine lovers can immerse themselves in this culinary festival while strolling the Crescent Lake causeway. Savor culinary delights from the resort’s award winning restaurants and lounges while listening to live music. With 17 restaurants and lounges, the Swan and Dolphin resorts have a nationally-recognized culinary team that can’t wait to show off their talents!

Choose selections from over 30 stations that showcase food and drinks from Shula’s Steak House, Il Mulino New York Trattoria and Todd English’s bluezoo, among other great Swan and Dolphin restaurants.

Select your favorite beverages from options such as wine, sake, beer, and cocktails created using liquid nitrogen (check out our experience with these liquid nitrogen cocktails here!).

Few things in life are as certain as death and taxes, unless it’s the annual migratory flight of hordes of hungry Disney fans headed to Florida for the October Epcot Food & Wine Festival. This year, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin decided to get in on the act, and it was high time as far as my husband and I were concerned. There are some incredible restaurants housed at these two hotels and the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic provided a taste of what they have to offer. We purchased advance tickets to the event for $50 each, which gave us unlimited food and drink samples at the stations set up along the walkway between the hotels as well as our choice of a beverage seminar one hour before the official event was slated to begin.

Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic Adds a New Seminar!

Great news for those of you who were shut out of the Swan and Dolphin’s upcoming Food and Wine Classic seminars — they’ve added an extra one due to popular demand!

The “Vino of Veneto” seminar will offer:

“An in depth discussion and analysis of wines from the Veneto region of Italy. Located in North Eastern Italy, the Venetian region is home to famous wine producing provinces such as Treviso, Verona, Padova, Venice, and Vicenza. The growers here base their ‘classic’ wines on native grape varieties like Prosecco and Verduzzo, however popularity and high demand has allowed them to experiment with Cabernets, Chardonnays, and Pinot varieties as well. Mr. Robin Shay will guide you through your journey of Veneto. Robin lived in Europe for 10 years working as a winemaker and later as a professionally certified sommelier in Rome.
