For the eleventh straight year, Visit Orlando is sponsoring Orlando Magical Dining Month. The event kicks off with a preview week on Monday, August 29, and runs through Sunday, October 2, offering guests and residents of the Orlando area five full weeks to enjoy special savings, all while doing good. And this year, more than 90 restaurants will participate — up from 77 in 2015. The list includes several options in the Disney Resort Area as well. [Read more…]
Earlier this week, we had the chance to check out a sneak preview of some of the wonderful offerings at the 2015 Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic.
The Swan and Dolphin Resorts’ companion event to the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival kicks off TONIGHT! And if you haven’t gotten your tickets already, no worries — you can purchase them at the Will Call Table.
The Food and Wine Classic consists of two different offerings. You can attend informative seminars, where you can learn about everything from Cheese Pairings and Pasta Making to Wine Blending and how to make the perfect Caipirinha!
But there’s also the Causeway Grandtasting. Set up between the two resorts, the Causeway offers tasting-size portions of special dishes that represent all of the resort’s restaurants. There are also additional areas highlighting the diverse talents of the Swan and Dolphin Culinary Team.
I have plenty of new stuff to share with you, and there are some great food and drinks returning. Let’s take a look around at what the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic has to offer this year!

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is home to a truly unique and delicious restaurant — Todd English’s bluezoo. With the addition of a new executive chef and updated menus, we suggest stopping by bluezoo real soon!
Since our last visit (and bluezoo review) when Chef Windus was still at the helm, the menus have been updated.
New executive chef, Ryan Ratino, is introducing updated menus for the bluezoo dining room as well as the cocktail and beer options!
Chef Ryan spent two years as chef de cuisine before taking on this new role. Let’s take a peek at the menus!
Focused on seafood and entrees with a fun Southern flair, there are some great new items like the 72 Hour Short Rib. But the classic clam chowder returns, as does the “dancing fish!”
Landlubbers will find some additional choices including english pea ravioli. We always recommend the never-know-what-you’re-gonna-get Chef’s Creation. It’s always been incredible on our experiences here!
And just look at the thirst-quenching adult beverage menu. Bluzoo has always been a pioneer when it comes to mixology, craft beers, and more. A visit to the lounge here will never go unrewarded.
We loved the Smoking White Sangria on our last visit; and, of course, the classic zooberry returns. Also, notice a new drink in honor of Autism Awareness Month that benefits the Princeton House Charter School!
bluezoo is boasting one of the best beer lists [Read more…]
