The diversity of visitors to Walt Disney World knows no bounds — and with those diverse visitors comes an infinite number of dietary preferences and requirements. We hear from loads of readers with different food needs, and we hear you loud and clear! And with 2019 beginning, we know a lot of you are looking to the popular keto diet to help keep your New Year’s Resolutions!
One of our favorite times to visit the Magic Kingdom is in November and December when the park is dressed up for the holidays. While we were there this week we found new merchandise, checked out construction progress, spotted some of Mickey’s birthday treats and merchandise still hanging around, plus found a new exit to a popular ride!
Let’s start this week’s update out on Main Street U.S.A. where we found new dresses, purses, yummy treats, and a Minnie sink as well as sweet ways to continue celebrating Mickey’s 90th!
Between decorating the park, kicking off Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and introducing a bunch of treats and sweets the Magic Kingdom found a way to do even more updates! We collected all the menu updates, merchandise introductions, refurbishment projects progress, and even more holiday eats right here for you!
That’s a view that we could look at all day! Cinderella Castle, Fireworks, and Characters! Even Mickey is there — before his big day this weekend when he turns 90!
There’s always something new happening at Walt Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom! Even though we were last in the park less than a week ago, there was still plenty of newness for us to discover.
Come along and take a look at everything new we encountered this week!

There are so many unique eats at the Tokyo Disney Resort. In this post, I’ve complied most of the items my family tried on our recent trip. Rather than do individual posts on each thing, here’s a mega post featuring them all! Ready, let’s go to Tokyo!
I’m going to start with my very first snack stop at Tokyo Disney Sea. We stopped at Refrescos’ in the Mediterranean Harbor area for a little bit of everything: A Gyoza Sausage Bun, a Maple Mickey Churro, and Cream of Corn Soup. Basically one of every thing on the menu. We were really excited because there was absolutely zero line. I’m told that the Gyoza Sausage Bun is one of the most popular items at Disney Sea and sometimes people wait over an hour for one. We lucked out because apparently this was an area that just recently started selling them. Normally they are only at the stand in Mysterious Island.
I was most excited about the Maple Mickey Churro, but unfortunately, it fell way short of the churros we have at the Disneyland Resort. Although it scored major points for being Mickey shaped, the churro itself was hard, dry and had very little flavor. Really cute, but not at all worth it.
The Corn Soup was fabulous. It’s not creamy like a chowder you’d find in the states, but it is still flavorful and hits the spot on a chilly day. I love that it’s served in [Read more…]
Check it out!!! We’ve found the latest must-have souvenir for Disney food fans like us: a few of our favorite Disney snacks… in magnet form!
As you can see, these aren’t just any magnets. These pieces look so realistic that it’s almost like taking one of these beloved iconic treats home with you!
I think these look spot-on, right down to the Disney paper wrapping!
And you certainly can’t pay homage to Disney snacks without having one (or four 😉 ) Mickey-shaped goodies, can you? Of course, there are Mickey Premium Bars…
But everyone knows that sweet snacks are even better with a salty chaser! 😉
Salty indulgences abound at Disney World, too! And we think it’s time to give them their day in the spotlight!
So without further adieu, we’d like to take a brief look at some of our favorites in our salute to the Top 12 Salty Snacks in Walt Disney World!
Alrighty, folks, we have to start with the obvious one: Popcorn.
How can you discuss Disney World salty snacks and not mention it? In fact, how can you go to a Disney park and not end up munching on this snack favorite?
We love popcorn in all its personalities — from the standard (refillable!) bucket you buy as soon as you walk into Magic Kingdom to caramel corn at Big Top Treats or Karamell-Küche. And when popcorn started popping up on Disney menus a while back, we were all for it!
But the best version remains that classic Disney popcorn box full of buttery (flavored) yellow kernels of fluffy goodness. Do yourself a favor and don’t leave without trying a box.
Chicken Waffle Sandwich
Over at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, you’ll find a lovely little assortment of waffles to satisfy your salt craving.
What? You ask. Waffles = salt? When they’re in the form of waffle sandwiches — they sure can be!
And my favorite when I’m satisfying a savory craving is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Sweet/spicy chicken with a touch of coleslaw offers a treat with complicated flavors, but a sure comfort food factor.
The perfect combo of sweet, salty, and slightly spicy, this sandwich will leave you full, happy, and ready to tackle the rest of those Disney miles! Just know that this thing can be uber messy, so bring lots of napkins!
The salty trifecta of chips, plastic cheese, and seasoned ground beef is perfection! And if you’re looking to add to it — try washing them down with a margarita, of course!
Want some less-fussy nachos? We’re also fans of the versions at Big River Grill and ESPN Club on the Boadwalk. Where do you find your favorite nachos in Disney World?
Tomato Basil Soup
Happy Turkey Day, Everyone!
Sad to say I won’t be spending Thanksgiving Day strolling down Main Street or awaiting my turn in Cars Land. But that doesn’t stop me of dreaming about all things turkey — and more precisely, all things Disney turkey!
You know how much we lurve a good crawl around here, so if you love turkey, I say skip the fancy sit down dinner and take a more progressive approach to your fall feast with the 2012 Disney Food Blog Turkey Crawl!
Since we know you have many foods to happily consume this holiday week, we are limiting the challenge to only four stops with a whole lot of latitude. However, there are definitely some other favorites that would be perfect additions (Earl of Sandwich Holiday Turkey Sandwich, anyone?)!
First Turkey Course: The Smoked Turkey Leg
There is no way we could even suggest a turkey crawl without mentioning the quintessential Disney turkey treat: the Smoked Turkey Leg!
Juicy, smokey, and big enough to count as a meal (or two), you may reach your turkey tipping point after consuming just one of these.
You’ll find the primal treats in all four Disney World parks!

Carry a Mickey Ice Cream Bar around with you everyday! We guarantee – no melting!
The pink version is adorable. Just look at that vanilla ice cream peeking out!
And, of course, we have to pay homage to the uber-popular Dole Whip!
