Home to the absolute classic Fish & Chips, Yorkshire County Fish Shop is currently also serving a Chicken and Mushroom Pie! You won’t find it on the regular posted menu… at least not yet, anyway. [Read more…]
The 2019 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival isn’t the only thing coming to Epcot on March 6th. This Wednesday will also bring the arrival of a new dish to the United Kingdom Pavilion’s Yorkshire County Fish Shop.
As the name alone would tell you, there has — for ages — been one signature dish at the Fish Shop: Fish & Chips, of course! But starting on the 6th, guests will have a choice to make when the new Traditional English Meat Pie brings the entrée choice options to two 🙂 . [Read more…]
All eyes in Epcot are on World Showcase Lagoon in 2019, because IllumiNations — the beloved fireworks, laser, and light show — is scheduled to end in the second half of the year. And to make the most of the final nights of the show, Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room in Epcot’s United Kingdom is now offering Illuminations Dining Packages!
Tonight is the first official night of this dining package which includes three courses and a patio seat for the big show! And thanks to DFB’s Travel Agent partner, Small World Vacations’ Sue P., who happened to get a preview last night — we’ve got everything you need to know about this unique dining experience BEFORE it officially begins!
Today we’re bringing you a guest review from our DFB pal Jennifer Elliott, who attended the new Rose & Crown Tea Experience in Epcot’s World Showcase!
This weekend, I had the privilege to attend The Rose & Crown’s brand new Tea Experience. It began promptly at 9:45 am, so make sure to allow plenty of time to walk to the United Kingdom Pavilion.
Earlier this month we told you about the new Vegan Slaw Dog that’s on the menu at Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom, and now we have details about another Disney World restaurant that is testing a vegan version of a popular dish!
Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room was testing a NEW Vegan Fishless Fish and Chips dish this week! [Read more…]
We had a case of wanderlust this week, and instead of getting out the passport and packing, we just hopped over to spend the day in Epcot. Our journey started with some time spent in Future World, followed by a trip around the World Showcase. And boy, did we find a lot new eats and buys for you on this “trip”!
Disney World’s Epcot Future World New Menu Items and Merchandise Updates
Here at the DFB, we love all things Disney dining. And that includes merchandise designed to make our dining a little more Disney — even at home!
So imagine our wonder when we discovered a line of Alice in Wonderland tea party dishware and accessories in the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot.
Hello, friends! We’re back with another DFB Video today, and we’re taking you on a Food Tour of Epcot’s United Kingdom Pavilion!
The United Kingdom is packed with so much more than just Fish & Chips as far as food options (although I do enjoy a stop at Yorkshire County Fish Shop, too!). Not only are there fun finds — even beyond Twinings Tea — at The Tea Caddy, but there is also some great pub grub to enjoy along with your pint… or pints 😉 . And did you know you can catch the IllumiNations fireworks from a great dining spot in the UK Pavilion? Check it all out in our latest DFB Video! [Read more…]
AJ’s Note: If you’re concerned about the chips vs. crisps situation in this review, please see my note in the comments. Love you!
Do you know what the Rose & Crown Beer Stand in Epcot’s United Kingdom serves?
Rose and Crown Beer Stand
Okay, you got me… BEER! 😉 But guess what else it just started serving up recently? Potato Chips.
But not just any old potato chips… we’re talking about Disney House-made Chips! You may already be familiar with these goodies that are often served as a side for dishes like the Anchors Aweigh and Lighthouse Sandwiches at Columbia Harbour House, and the Lobster Club Sandwich at The Artist’s Palette.
That’s just a small sampling, of course. You can find House-made Chips in several locations around Disney World, but often solely as a side to an entree and rarely sold separately on the menu (though you can probably ask for them as a separately served side). No matter where you find them, the fresh quality and natural flavor often help the chips stand out as much as the entree they’re served alongside. So it was great to see these available at the Rose & Crown Beer Stand in TWO flavor options: Original and Salt & Vinegar.
You’ll receive a bag like this for $4.25 out of pocket or as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan…
I grabbed the Salt & Vinegar because the flavor is unique to this location… and I was in the United Kingdom, after all! [Read more…]
