Join us in welcoming Zachary Ott today! His guest review takes us to the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall — a Buffeteria in Tokyo Disneyland Resort themed to, what else?, Alice in Wonderland!
Atmosphere
One of our favorite eats was at the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall. Here are some of the pictures of the beautiful and over the top themeing on the exterior of the restaurant.
These two fun themed vending machines actually emitted steam from the top and spout at random intervals.
Detailed in these pictures is the interior themeing of the Banquet Hall. You’ll recognize plenty of elements from the animated film; and who wouldn’t want to walk through this giant door handle doorway to get to their meal?
Oversized, cartoony pots and flowers dominate the dining space.
The buffet line set up won’t be new to anyone who’s done a Disney buffet before, but we love the giant pots and pans hanging from the ceiling!
A colorful stained glass window showcases some of our favorite characters from the movie.
And, of course, there are plenty of photo ops!
These Queen of Hearts trays were lots of fun to use at the buffet. Very cafeteria like!
And the plates were very unexpected!
Eats
Options on the buffet included several different meats and fish… .
Here are the special options that were available for the Easter Wonderland celebration.
I opted for the Heart Shaped Meat Patty with Onion Sauce.
My fiancé chose the Fried Seafood Assortment with Tartar Sauce.
Both were very different to our not yet adjusted palates, but were very flavorful. I must note though that my fiancé had to remove the head from her prawn before she could begin her meal.
Dessert choices were also displayed.
Also you will see accompanying a few of our desserts on the trip is a souvenir plate or cup. These were common at counter service and snack carts alike, and unlike their American counterparts many of these souvenir dishes were on real china making it a great keepsake.
Overall
A favorite place to dine in Tokyo Disneyland!

I went to Tokyo Disneyland last year but only for the day and didn’t get a chance to see inside here, so very happy to see this post! Love all the theming and the food looks very Japanese meets Disney – that Cheshire Cat cake is so cute!
What a fun looking restaurant.
WOW… Thanks so much for sharing these pictures and stories! It looks amazing!!! I’d love to try the UnBirthday Cake :)!
Ok.. I DESPERATELY need that plate… how much bribery would it take to get one? (Already searched ebay LOL)
I absolutely love this Restaurant and it’s always a must on a visit to Tokyo Disneyland. Portions are small although that’s a problem everywhere at this Resort. But the food is full of flavour and desserts are such fun. Upon entering the Restaurant you see rotisserie chicken being cooked in the ovens and I just love all the theming.
We ate here in Sept of ’09 and had the roast chicken, it was excellent! We also got a cute dessert in a little mug that we got to take home.
How adorable! If this was at WDW, I’d totally go there, I love Alice in Wonderland.
I don’t even care for the Alice in Wonderland story, but this place looks wonderfully done! The stained glass is beautiful and the plates are fantastic. I’d be quite happy with a meal of grilled swordfish. Thank you for a fun and very interesting report!
This restaurant was closed when I visited to TDL resort. The food looks really good, and the desserts are calling my name ~ especially that UNBirthday cake!
