Right?! I mean, what’s Christmas without a little Aloha! Ahoy! AHA! Well, even if you can’t make it to Trader Sam’s this Christmas, we can all share in a little holiday cheer explorer-style, thanks to reader Shannon Gourlay, who shared these pics with us on facebook!
There are a few different options at Trader Sam’s if you’d like to choose a holiday adult beverage with a healthy dose of tropical flavor.

You can get caught in a Tropical Snowstorm, which features Honey Flavored Whiskey and Coconut Rum mixed with Coconut Cream and warm spices. Yum! Or if you really want to announce your arrival, you might try a Jungle Bells. There’s nothing quiet about this zippy drink, which combines 8 Year Demerara Rum, Anise Liqueur, Vanilla, and Ginger Beer.
But Shannon went for the Red-Nosed Zebra.

After all, how can you go wrong with Aged Rum, Strawberry Puree, and Lemon and Lime Juices?? Sounds a little Kungaloosh-style in spirit to me!
I’m thinking any and all of the fun drinks would go well with some of the amazing dishes at Trader Sam’s. Ahhhhhh — now I’m dreaming of a Tropical Snowstorm and a Pu Pu Platter!

I went the day before the menu was available but luckily the bartender was able to make the tropical snowstorm because it was AWESOME! the flavor combo was on point, i actually ordered two…oops! but i ran the avengers half that morning so its totally cool right 🙂
I was there in October, so will miss the Christmas fun at WDW this year. The Pu Pu Platter will be the next dish I will try upon return. For Holiday drink selection, instead of trying to “sink” the Nautilus, I would definitely attempt to get “lost” in a Tropical Snowstorm. Trader Sams is such a unique, fun, and interesting place. A must visit for every future trip. Thanks for the TS Holiday update. Very glad you had a great visit.
I had the opportunity to try the Tropical Snowstorm 2 weeks ago, and it was absolutely incredible. It tasted like a coconutty eggnog and holiday cookies all at the same time! I wish the Trader Sam’s in Florida had these special beverages as well.
My husband and I went to Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland hotel so I could buy the souvineer hippopatomaitai souvineer glass and were dissappointed to find they had been recalled. The wings, though, were finger-lickin’ awesome.
