The dining landscape in Disney Springs continues to evolve, and we’re preparing to welcome another new restaurant to the scene as The Polite Pig opens in the Town Center this coming Monday, April 10th!
James and Julie Petrakis are a husband and wife team who own The Ravenous Pig, Cask & Larder and Swine & Sons in Winter Park, FL.
They’re partnering with James’ brother, Brian, for their newest venture, The Polite Pig, which will bring a new fast-casual dining experience to Disney Springs with a focus on “modern barbecue” (including a seven-sauce toppings bar) and southern sides.
Craft beers (featuring Cask & Larder Brewery beers on tap) and cocktails — along with a Bourbon Bar boasting at least 50 offerings — will make up another key component to the menu.
Five house cocktails will be available on tap as well, with the spotlight on the Gin and Tonic and Old-Fashioned known well at The Ravenous Pig.
Central Florida natives James and Julie Petrakis will bring the same focus on quality, seasonal ingredients emphasized at their other restaurants, while highlighting wood-smoked and grilled dishes. And we’re all sure to learn lots of lessons in good manners from The Polite Pig, as the “beloved swine” will be represented in the decor, with “whimsical pigs” on display throughout the 190-seat (!!!!!) venue.
So, remember to mind your manners 😉 …
… because we’ll all want to be on our best behavior when The Polite Pig arrives — promptly at 11:00 am, no less! — in Disney Springs!
Are you looking forward to this new dining option in Disney Springs? Please let us know with a comment!
