9-22-18 UPDATE! Great news — as we suspected, the Family Play Zone has returned, though with slightly different equipment than before!
____________
The Family Play Zone Kids’ Playground, a fun addition to this year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival, has now been closed.
On our visit to Epcot yesterday we noticed the Family Play Zone was closed. This is what the Play Zone looked like on the Festival’s Opening Day.
Yesterday, signs were up noting the area is under refurbishment and shrubbery on wheels was hiding the work.
Looking into the Play Zone, it seems the equipment is being dismantled.
The Family Play Zone is still listed on the Epcot Times Guide. We’ll continue looking into this story to see if a re-build or replacement is on the way.
