Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts begins on Friday

, and today DFB popped into a media preview to give you the scoop on some can’t miss merch — including Figment Ears that are absolutely a must buy! We also got to try several of the eats and see a lot of the other fun secrets coming to Festival of the Arts, so stay tuned for that post later today!

But first say hello to the boss. I love his new short pants so much. FYI, this new “Celebration Mickey” will be seen everywhere coming this Friday when the parks start fully celebrating his 90th birthday with new shows, new food, and new experiences! Stay tuned for that — we’ll be reporting on all of it!

And now ears. Beloved Figment — star of the updated and oft-maligned Journey Into Imagination in Epcot’s Future World — has finally gotten his due in Mickey ear form. And you’ve just got to see them.

Yes! His mischievous yellow eyes and shiny orange horns and wings pop against the quintessential Figment purple. We know: it kind of looks like he’ll be eating your head when you wear them. But we are HERE FOR IT — tiny, happy dragon eating our head and all.

And the BEST news is — we JUST spotted Figment in ear form at the shop outside of Spaceship Earth. So, my friends, you can GET HIM TODAY!

Woo. Figment ears. Our imaginations are stoked already! But wait: there’s more! Figment is everywhere for the Festival of the Arts, including on this tie-dyed Festival of the Arts Spirit Jersey!

You’ll find the playful dragon on the front of the spirit jersey painting (awwwww!) a portrait of Spaceship Earth (yeeessss!). It’s worlds colliding here, but it’s so cheerful and perfect for this time of the year in Epcot.

In addition to your Figment merch (we know you’ve already made those purchases in your mind’s wallet), you’ll want to snag this Festival of the Arts Mickey Plush! If you look closely, you’ll see Festival of the Arts printed in light blue against the navy blue background of Mickey’s body. You’re also seeing some colorful Epcot logos there, too. It’s a confetti of awesome from afar!
