It’s an unforgettable moment when the Maleficent dragon float breathes fire during Disney World’s Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom.

However, it’s a moment that many guests have missed over the past several months, as the float was removed from the parade in May of 2018 after an unfortunate incident when the float caught fire during the parade. (No Cast Members or guests were harmed during the incident.)
But as of TODAY Maleficent will make her return to the Festival of Fantasy Parade! According to Disney, “While she still has her same Steampunk style and signature wicked smile, the Maleficent dragon will be sporting a refreshed look, enhanced with new safety features designed to keep her in check.”
