Royal Street Veranda
Royal St Veranda in New Orleans Square is a simple walk-up window with a few tables but you will almost always find a long line (So don’t forget to use Mobile Ordering.) It’s known mostly for its hearty bread bowls. But to me this spot is all about the fritters!

You will not be sorry if you pick up these brand new Bacon, Cheddar and Green Onion Fritters. They have truly outdone themselves with this one, my friends.
I was fully expecting the fritter to have an overwhelming bacon flavor. But I was pleasantly surprised when all three flavors blended together seamlessly.

This one is low on the greasy scale, which for a fritter is a mighty achievement. They may be a little more brown than golden but rest assured these babies are not burned. The inside is soft and seriously flavorful.

This deliciousness is good enough to be eaten without the sauce. But the smooth Lime and Cilantro Creme dipping sauce adds a nice creaminess to the fritter. So don’t be afraid to dip away!

Diana, Get Your Ears On will be happening through September 30! Official word is that food and drink items will be coming and going throughout, so we can’t say for sure what will be offered during the celebration, but you should find lots of new things to try!
