The “Get Your Ears On” Celebration at Disneyland has already brought us some ah-mazing sweets!! We’ve tried churros, cake, and caramel apples, and now we’re bringing you the newest treat in the line-up. Please say hello to Mickey Butterscotch Beignets!!
These cuties are available, starting today, at the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square…just in time for Mardi Gras!
As you can see, they are $5.49 for a serving of 3 beignets, or $8.99 for a shareable serving of 6. Well, I guess you could share the 3-pack, but… will you really want to?
Each piece is covered with a butterscotch powder and is noticeably darker than a traditional beignet.
So, how was it?! It was LOVE AT FIRST BITE!! The butterscotch made its presence known right off the bat. There is also a TON of powdered sugar — a MUST for a good beignet! You can tell everyone has been enjoying these — there was powdered sugar EVERYWHERE! On the floors, trash cans, tables, and even the planter by the exit!
Even though these are butterscotch, there were definitely notes of caramel as well. Other Guests enjoying the snack said they noticed it too! But that didn’t stop us from enjoying them — they are so light and fluffy, we could have easily gone for the 6-pack!
And there’s more where that came from!!
