Epcot’s China has delivered a delightful surprise once again at the Pavilion’s Food Booth for the 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, the Lotus House!
While this Outdoor Kitchen is serving up its anticipated Szechuan Spicy Red-braised Beef Shank over Rice, “Panda” Bubble Tea, and more, guests visiting the booth may also notice — if you peek at the side of the booth opposite of the ordering registers — a Cotton Candy artist creating Chinese Cotton Candy!
This is similar to the 2019 Epcot Festival of the Arts when the Pavilion’s Food Studio booth, The Painted Panda, served Sugar Paintings by guest Candy Artisan Wenbo Zhang. Note that, as a non-regular menu item, this may not be an offering on your specific visit.
But you’ll want to keep an eye out, because the results are beautiful! The 5-Layered Spring Fantasy Cotton Candy is an especially fitting choice for the Festival’s focus on all things in bloom.
While there is no flavor variety in the layers that we could detect (it’s just that classic cotton candy sugar taste), this HUGE piece is gorgeous and definitely share-worthy!
Even if Cotton Candy isn’t your preferred treat, definitely stop by the Lotus House to see if you can catch the creation of any of the Cotton Candy pieces, because the process is so much fun to watch!

Hey does anyone have details about how to get the famous cotton candy in China at Epcot ? How long are the wait and times that’s available ? Thanks
Caroline, Flower and Garden booths open at 11, and they are open until Park close. The lines can be long, but it’s fun!
We were there last weekend, the lines for cotton candy around 11am-4pm were maybe 2-4 people long. It was hot, lines moved very quickly. Actually, all the lines at Epcot were pretty minimal, they move quick.
Do you know if they still have this for Food And Wine Festival? Or was it just available for Flower and Garden?
Rebecca, we haven’t seen a poster for F&W this year.
