Remember a few months ago when we discovered the Boozy Beignets at Scat Cat’s?? If not, never fear. Here’s a beautiful reminder…
Baton Rouge Beignets with Kahlua
For $8, you get three of the famous Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Beignets, complete with pipettes full of your choice of liquor. They call these Baton Rouge Beignets (officially).

We grabbed ours to-go so we could sit outside and enjoy them in the Florida sunshine. They pack them up nicely for you if you request to take them with you.

We had to wait about 10 minutes for a fresh batch of beignets and trust us when we say, they are worth the wait. The warm flaky dough plus the chilled liqueur is a perfect combination.

So how are they? Ummm…amazing!!! The Godiva is certainly chocolatey, but be warned it’s also pretty strong — as in, you can definitely taste the alcohol. It reminded me of adult chocolate milk. But once soaked into the fluffy beignet, it was the perfect indulgent treat.
But don’t forget!! This is a secret menu item so you have to ask specifically for the Godiva Chocolate Liquor as it won’t be listed. HUGE thanks to our instagram follower @ericaa_white for the heads up! Bon Appétit!!

I can’t think of any place her in Baton Rouge that serves beignets with alcohol, but I will surely try them in October!
Lol ! We are here at Port Orleans looking for the chocolate beignets and the bar tender has informed us there is no such thing. We asked for the Godiva liquor and he said it was an internet rumor. No worries !!! We had the trio and they were great !! Loved them. Love the DFB too!
