Last week was packed with news for not one, but TWO, upcoming Epcot Festivals: the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival and the 2019 Epcot Festival of the Holidays.
Dates were announced for each Festival, and it was revealed that Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays would take place from November 29 – December 30, 2019. However, it appears that the Candlelight Processional, which is part of the Festival of the Holidays, will begin the day before the rest of the Festival.
According to the Walt Disney World website, the Candlelight Processional will start on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, continuing the new tradition set last year when the Candlelight Processional began on Thanksgiving Day for the first time in the event’s history.
For those who are new to celebrating the Holidays at Walt Disney World, the Epcot Candlelight Processional presents the Christmas story told by a celebrity narrator while a 50-piece orchestra and choir accompany the re-telling. You can find out more about it by visiting our Candlelight Processional page.

Yes, I plan to attend The Festival of Holidays including the Candlelight Processional at Epcot this 2019 holiday season.
Thanksgiving is supposed to be our last day in the parks. Will the candlelight processional dining package be available on Thanksgiving (to have reservations for the show), or not, if the official festival starts the next day? Thanks so much, trying to figure out if we need to adjust our trip.
Lisa: Candlelight Processional is scheduled to start the day after Thanksgiving (original dates included the 28th, but when Disney announced some of the narrators, they adjusted the date).
