A new Annual Pass option will soon be available to Disneyland Resort guests!
The Disney Flex Passport will be available for purchase starting May 21st. This new option offers a number of features, the most unique among them being a reservation system which Disney states will allow them to better distribute guest attendance throughout the year.
The Disney Flex Passport will offer multiple ways to visit the Disneyland Resort “combining value and flexibility.” Features include limited block out dates, many “good to go” days in one or both of the Disneyland Resort parks, AND additional dates that can be reserved.
Reservations — with guests being able to hold two reservation days up to 30 days in advance — can be managed via the Disneyland website or the Disneyland app. Disney provides a how-to in this video:
The Disney Flex Passport will be $599. A monthly payment option will be available for California residents, and the Disney Flex Passport includes benefits like discounts on dining and merchandise.
Be sure to visit Disneyland.com/FlexPassport for full inclusions, restrictions, and more information.

I don’t understand the reasoning behind this annual pass. What is the “reservation” status for? Are these dates that would otherwise be off-season and you couldn’t get in with the week-day pass like I have here in Florida? I pay around $300 for my annual pass – I can’t go on weekends, holiday periods [like spring break, christmas, etc.] or most of the summer. Yay! Those are times I don’t want to attend anyway: too many people. And during the summer, it’s just too doggone hot. The poor folks vacationing then can swelter through the parks, I’ll stay home and jump in my pool.
So is this pass a cheaper alternative for CA residents? What’s the attraction?
