We finally have opening dates for the second (and most highly anticipated) Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge ride — Rise of the Resistance! — on both coasts!
This hotly anticipated attraction will take guests on an epic, 4-part adventure through the galaxy — battling Kylo Ren and maybe even getting thrown into a First Order jail along the way!
Star Wars Rise of the Resistance
Until now, we’ve only had the chance to ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Galaxy’s Edge so far, but starting December 5th, 2019, in Disney World (what a great birthday present for Walt Disney himself!) and January 17th, 2020, in Disneyland, IT’S ON!!

I may be in the minority, but this is devastating news for me. I just bought plane tickets for a 4-days trip to Disneyland January 21-15th. My travel companion has never been to DL, and we chose these days based on the very low projections for crowds. Our hope was to see just about everything with 2-days at each park. Now I’m scared the locals will swarm the place! I had been hoping for a November-December opening…
I’ve heard the late opening is due to software problems with the trackless system.
Of course it opens two weeks after my planned visit.
