You midwesterners will know how exciting this news is, as the beloved Chicago-style restaurant chain has just announced it will be opening its third location in Florida right next to Disney World!
Portillo’s is a household name in the north, famous for its Italian Vienna beef sandwiches, char-broiled burgers, and Chicago-style Vienna beef hot dogs served with the traditional poppy seed bun, neon green relish, celery salt, tomato, onion, with or without sport peppers, and mustard…BUT NO KETCHUP!! Yes Portillos! It’s like In and Out iconic here in Chicagoland.
I am super excited about this!! I love me some beef, no hots (sorry Chicago natives!), extra gravy. I hope this one will be better than the one in Brandon, FL. I miss eating at Portillos! My old boss in Cali took me to the one there all the time. He was from Chicago & would tell me stories of eating at the original Portillos . Good times!!!
I am so glad Portillos is coming to Florida Orlando. Tampa has been spoiled and everyone loves it over there. Living in Chicago area for 20+ years it was a staple restaurant for us. The best Italian beef you can find as well as tons of other menu items and a great value
