Christmastime treats have been baking up all over Disney California Adventure!
And, along with the gingerbread, hot chocolate, and eggnog around the parks, holiday churros are making a sweet appearance for guests of all ages to try. Although we’ve already seen the Peppermint Churro and the Sugar Cookie Churro, we’re back for another round!
Get ready to crunch and munch on the Pecan Pie Churro at Willie’s Churros for the Festival of Holidays!
The churro is topped with maple glaze, chocolate drizzle, and toasted pecans (!!!) to make the perfect Christmas treat.
Ok guys. We’ve been HUNTING this churro for DAYS. Every time we checked they were either sold out or closed. We need this churro in our lives so we persisted on! Finally, after we checked back at the cart five different times throughout the day, the churro gods answered our sticky-sweet prayers! We can fINALLY say it was worth the wait.
Unlike most of the other holiday churros we’ve tried, the Pecan Pie Churro doesn’t come with an option to buy dipping sauce. We think it’s because the churro is SO GOOD, you can just eat it on its own!
If you can imagine biting into a thick waffle after some maple syrup soaks into it, that’s the texture of this churro (our mouths are still watering). The maple glaze and chocolate syrup are a delicious combination. The flavor of the two drizzles melt into your mouth with each bite, which we loooove.
The nuttiness from the pecans adds a slight hint of extra sweetness on top of the occasional “soft crunch” they give to the churro. Seriously, this churro is NEXT LEVEL. We might need to put this at the top of our Best of the Fest (You know, now that we FINALLY tried it!!)! 😉
We highly recommend that you grab the Pecan Pie Churro for $6.25 during the Festival of Holidays! A churro a day keeps the humbug away, you know!!
