We became DVC members in 1995 at Old Key West; and back then Saratoga Springs was known as the Disney Institute. My husband and I took many classes which included cooking, photography, golfing, kayaking, and most especially animation. We enjoyed all of the classes, however, I especially enjoyed the animation classes. My favorite was a stop clay animation all day class where we got to make our own films within teams. Unfortunately it never quite caught on, and it was only around for a few years. Since then we have enjoyed many of the tours that WDW now offers.
