FYI – I made the Hummingbird cake recipe exactly as listed on DFB and it filled the 2 nine inch pans almost completely full. When baking, they overflowed all over my oven. I think this recipe is designed to make three nine inch pans, not two. Which makes sense because Chef Art’s cake is three tiers in photos.
