Disneyland Monorail, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Submarine Voyage

He’s responsible for creating many of the famous ride vehicles for classic Disney attractions like Haunted Mansion, Autopia, Submarine Voyage, and the Matterhorn Bobsleds!

Bob Gurr has long since retired, but the 88-year old is still keeping busy these days — even though he isn’t able to get out of the house as much as he would like to (we definitely FEEL ya there, Mr. Gurr!).

But luckily for Mr. Gurr, he’s collected some AMAZING stuff over the years! In fact, Mr. Gurr posts what he’s up to regularly on his Instagram account. Recently, he posted a pic of him sitting in one of the original 1955 cars from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in HIS LIVING ROOM.

In the caption he wrote each night he sits in “Winky” and raises a glass of wine to toast each and every sunset! Umm, ADORABLE!

It’s clear Mr. Gurr is living his BEST LIFE EVER at home right now. And now that The Walt Disney Family Museum has just released a recipe of the GurrTiki in honor of Bob and we can’t wait to make one! This cocktail can be made with or without alcohol, so everyone in the family can enjoy it together!

We don’t know about you guys, but we’ll be CHEERS-ING Bob TONIGHT with a glass of THIS good stuff! And yes, we’ll probably be sitting on our couches instead of our very own personal Mr. Toad cars, but hey, at least we’ll be picturing Bob being all cute and cozy in his home chillin’ out with “Winky!” Cheers, Bob!
