It’s really happening — the NBA is coming to Disney World.
Since the announcement that the NBA would be finishing their season in the Most Magical Place on Earth, news about the league’s accommodations has been trickling in. Earlier today we found out where the players would be staying, and now we know a little bit more about the amenities they’ll receive during their stay.
According to NBA Insider Shams Charania, the players are going to get some pretty sweet digs while they’re waiting to play through the rest of the season. Their hotels will feature a players-only lounge with TVs and gaming, pools and trails, barbers, manicurists, and pedicurists. Plus, they’ll have access to a 24-hour concierge.
Beyond that, players will be able to keep entertained with movie screenings, DJ sets, ping pong, pool, and lawn games. Plus, they’re welcome to attend other games during the tournament. According to NBA Insider Keith Smith, the screened movies may include some that have not been released like Black Widow.
Smith also noted that players will receive MagicBands to serve as a room key. Apparently, there is the potential for players to get access to the theme parks — but it would be after they are open and held after hours. Other team and player excursions may be offered as well.
It’s still super interesting that the NBA is finding a temporary home in Disney World, so we’re excited to learn ALL the details. If you are too, stay tuned to DFB for the latest NBA in Disney updates.
