The Haunted Mansion ghost recruitment committee has really stepped their game up a notch lately!

We’ve seen everything from new Haunted Mansion Minnie Ears to Haunted Mansion Crocs and everything in between. It’s definitely a great time to be a Haunted Mansion fan.

Before you enter the Mansion itself, you’ll walk past the courtyard…
The Haunted Mansion in Disney World
…and into the outdoor portion of the queue. This area was added a number of years ago and features all kinds of interactive elements. It should be noted that many of these interactive elements are unavailable at the moment.

Once you exit the outdoor queue, you are invited into the Stretching Room for a pre-show where you’re reminded “There’s no turning back now.” Currently, as part of the adjustments made to this queue for social distancing, you simply walk through the Stretching Room, rather than stay there for the pre-show.

Once you hop aboard your Doom Buggy, you’ll get to enjoy a ride around the Mansion and get a look at its 999 happy haunts. But, we hear there’s room for 1,000 — any volunteers?

Along your trip, you’ll meet quite a few characters, including the Hitchhiking Ghosts.

But, two of the most prominent characters you’ll see are Madame Leota…

…and Constance Hatchaway.

You’ll find Madame Leota floating in her crystal ball in the séance room, encouraging those goblins and ghoulies from last Halloween to awaken the spirits with their tambourine! You can also spot her tombstone on the outside of the Mansion.

Constance Hatchaway is the bride who you’ll find in the attic near portraits of her former husbands, each of whom seem to have met a violent and rather similar demise.

Both! Or Neither?
Some of our followers, though, couldn’t bear to pick between these two amazing characters. One told us: “Don’t make me choose! I love them both!!”

Others felt that another character entirely deserved to win. One follower said: “Neither. The Grave digger’s dog is the only acceptable answer.” Poor little pup! He is most definitely a very good boy.

Where was the Spectral bride in the Haunted Mansion Segment picture above taken? It looks like a show or restaurant where many people are looking on? Doesn’t look familiar to me but I’m a Disney World girl. Haven’t been to Disneyland in a few years.
Kelly, this was from the Boo to You parade during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last year.
according to all canon/fanon so far, Constance and the other 996 ghostly residents are mortal, while Leota and her lesser known illegitamate daughter Leoticia AKA “little Leota” are somewhat powerful witches, at least one of who has seemingly used her primary “talisman” to “cheat” death (her scrying sphere AKA “crystal ball”, in which she apparently has preserved her being).
Constance and the others besides these 2 lived and died “mortals” not imbued with the incredible innate powers of Leota and Leoticia. Which is why more people are “enchanted” by at least the senior Leota :
her visitors/fans understand the raw energy she commands far outweighs not just the killer bride but every other inhabitant of the property. Because popularity aside, there is really no debating that the most fearsomely powerful resident of the mansion(s) is Leota. Even the manor’s tour guide tells all guests as much when he strongly infers the residents can only be seen with Leota’s mystic aid as opposed to just heard or felt before her spell is cast to enable guests to SEE them
