We’re having a GRAND time at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort today!
A few new additions have recently arrived at Disney World’s flagship Resort. ICYMI, weekend guests were once again treated to the sound of live music in the lobby. And while that was a very pleasant surprise indeed, the Grand Floridian is not quite done with the surprises just yet as we learned today while we were dining at the Grand Floridian Café!
We’ll be filling you in on our dining experience shortly, but before we do that we just had to let you in on a lovely Holiday Season discovery!
A replica of the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House has been created by the Grand Floridian Bakery team… made entirely of CHOCOLATE!
Guests can currently enjoy seeing it in a glass display case inside the Grand Floridian Café.
Before we dive into all the fun the details, you can get a complete overview in our video:

If you get to visit, you’ll want to be on the lookout for TWENTY-TWO Hidden Mickeys!
The number is significant, as this would have been the 22nd year that the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House would have been on display, had the Resort Gingerbread Displays not been put on hiatus for this year.
This replica really does make a truly beautiful and sentimental tribute to a wonderful Disney World Resort holiday tradition.
Just like the full-size Gingerbread House, this not-so-miniature version has plenty of visual surprises tucked in every corner, like chocolate models of Santa Claus, house furniture, presents, and more…
… like Toy Soldiers and Nutcrackers!
The replica is a perfect representation right down to each and every signature gingerbread shingle!
Who else can see the smoke rising out of the chimney?
We could happily spend all day admiring the carefully crafted details… just the same way we could with the traditional Gingerbread House. Couldn’t you?
This is such a wonderful surprise from the Grand Floridian Bakery, and we hope you’ve enjoyed touring this year’s truly unique version of the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House with us! And with that we say…
HAPPY HOLIDAYS from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!
