It doesn’t seem possible, but it’s almost time to say goodbye to 2020! And well…it has been a year!
So bring on 2021 with all kinds of new Disney merch, including ornaments, pins, and ears! The Chinese New Year begins in February — and it will be the Year of the Ox!
We’re ready to celebrate the Year of the Ox in style with this brand new Chinese New Year Spirit Jersey we found in Disney World! It’s a gorgeous red color with gold accents and a very subtle pattern that features some Mickeys, flowers, icons, and more!
The front left has a gold raised Ox with “Happy Year” and a the Chinese character for cow/ox in quotation marks, Niu, pronounced “new.” It also has the Walt Disney World logo on it. So, yeah, this merch has levels. (Thanks Kim and Doug in the comments for helping me figure out the pun!)
The back has the same Happy New Year message in gold, but with much bigger letters!
And at the bottom is Mickey in his Chinese New Year outfit!
We found this spirit jersey at World of Disney at Disney Springs for $74.99. And if you plan on grabbing it, there’s a pair of matching Chinese New Year Minnie Ears, too! We’ll let you know if we spot any more Chinese New Year merch!
Another Monthly Plush Collection Will Be Released by D23 in 2021!

What’s your Chinese Zodiac sign? Let us know in the comments!
Actually, it’s the character for Cow (Year of the Ox) and a subtle pun… it is pronounced Niú (New)
The message on the shirt is a pun, because the middle symbol means ox and is pronounced similar to new (niu) in Mandarin Chinese.
Is this listed online yet or just in the store?
Danielle, I don’t see it online yet.
