Park hopping returns today but it’s pretty different than before the closures.
Guests visiting Disney World today may have the Park Hopper ticket option that allows them to visit other parks during Park Hopper hours (after 2PM for now). The catch is that these parks CAN hit capacity and if they do, you won’t be allowed inside. Here’s what we know so far about how to check for theme park Park Hopper availability!
We spoke with a Guest Relations Cast Member who told us that a way to check theme park availability is to call the capacity number at (407) 560-5000. This number has been used in the past to notify guests if a theme park is at capacity during major crowd times in typical years.
We called the number prior to Park Hopper time to see how it works. The line does not ring at all. Instead, a pre-recorded message played that said, “Greetings from Walt Disney World Resort. At this time, all theme parks are available for Park Hopper access. Thank you and have a magical day.” We expect that this message will change based on current availability.
As of right now, we have seen no changes to the My Disney Experience app to indicate Park Hopper availability, besides a new Park Hopper pop-up that links to the Walt Disney World website.
We’ll be looking into more ways to check Park Hopper availability and doing our own park-hopping experiments today. We will update this post with any added information on how to check if a park is unavailable. Stay tuned to DFB for all the coverage of the new modified system.

Has anyone experienced being denied the ability to park hop (capacity restrictions) since it was re-introduced?
Chris, our reporters have not yet encountered this, and they’re in the parks every day.
I am nervous about not getting to park hop. The whole reason we bought o says was to hop. It would stink if we wasted all that money and couldn’t. We had to get reservations at Epcot because this was a last minute surprise for our kids. We have never been and want to see as much as we can. I’m super nervous.
Ashley, our reporters are in the parks every day, and they haven’t had any trouble Park Hopping. Hopefully that’ll be the case for you and your family as well.
