Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at the Monorail Resorts!
And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort Food Update
Valentine’s Day is around the corner with eats and treats popping up all over Disney World. And, if you’re looking for a gift for your special someone, the Fantasia Market has an entire stock of holiday goodies in the store!
Along with champagne available for $22 and sparkling cider for $5.49…
…you can also get a box of Mickey and Minnie chocolates and truffles for an extra sweet Valentine’s Day.
We’ve seen these truffles all around Disney World, but it’s nice to know that they are available here!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort Merchandise Update
Since Raya and the Last Dragon will be debuting next month, Disney’s Contemporary Resort has stocked its shelves with the new Raya MagicBand!
On one side of the deep blue band, you can find the Raya and the Last Dragon logo, Sisu the Dragon, and Raya with her signature blade…
…while the other has flowers and the “Protector of the Light” quote from the upcoming film for $24.99!
After all the Raya and the Last Dragon merchandise we’ve seen recently, we can’t wait to watch the film super soon in theaters and on Disney+!
And, you can try your luck at collecting one of the mystery pack plushes or taking home the Kangaroo and Joey Plush for $9.99 each when you’re visiting Disney’s Contemporary Resort next.
Bay View Gifts
We’ve found the newest Princess and Villains mugs all around the Disney property, but we were so excited to see them available at Bay View Gifts now as well! The shelves were stocked with the Jasmine, Cinderella…
…Aurora, and Snow White versions so you can sip on your favorite hot beverage with a bit of magic (and sparkle) to go with it for $14.99!
We love the sparkles in the handle!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort Entertainment Update
The Monorails are easily one of our favorite ways to get around the Disney World parks and resorts in style. And, the latest update to the Cast Member costumes at the Contempo Cafe has us wanting to snag the Monorail-themed apron for ourselves!
The neon green collared shirt adds a pop of color to the outfit…
…as the white apron is decorated with the red, orange, lime, coral, and other Monorails!
Hey, Disney, any chance you’re going to feature these in your stores anytime soon? (We’ll be your first customers!) 😉
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Food Update
We are life-long fans of the Dole Whip and we can’t help but be excited when there is a new flavor or brand new way to snack on the dessert! And, Pineapple Lanai is showing off a souvenir tiki sipper to go with your Dole Whip Float!
The plastic sipper has stacked tiki men and other carvings around the cup with the lid open to eat your sweet Dole Whip soft serve and a straw to sip on the pineapple juice for $10.99.
And, you can take the sipper home with you so you can make your own DIY Dole Whip at home to feel like you’re in the parks all the time!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Merchandise Update
As you’re browsing Moana Mercantile, you can also find the celebratory champagne that we spotted over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort…
…for $22 per bottle at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! (That Pommery POP Pink Rose Champagne sure does sound great, right??)
While you’re there, you can also pick up a little sumthin’ sumthin’ for your loved ones at the Valentine’s Day display in the store!
Who doesn’t want a box of chocolate that tells them how magnetic of a person they are?!
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Construction Update
If you’re bringing your kiddos with you to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ll want to note that the kids’ pool area is closed at the moment to undergo a refurbishment!
Since much of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is experiencing construction, you may want to plan your resort stay accordingly as you chill out for a pool day or explore the parks!
Right next to the pool, the Barefoot Pool Bar was also closed to guests visiting the area.
The sign on the front of the shuttered window advised guests to head to the Tambu Lounge inside the resort instead for a refreshing beverage!
As Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort continues to move forward with its huge refurbishment, the Monorail leading from the resort to the parks is still under construction.
The Monorail station was recently demolished in the midst of the updated entryway and transportation methods available to guests visiting the Polynesian.
Tarps and gates were up around the construction as a health and safety measure with signs directing visitors to the Great Ceremonial House.
We’ll keep an eye on this construction!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at the Monorail Resorts! We’ll catch you next time for more updates. And, if you have any questions about your upcoming Disney vacation, let us know so we can help you find the answers!
