If you don’t already have Disney+, you currently have a monthly account, or your account is about to expire and you need to renew, you might want to take action quickly!

On March 26th, 2021, Disney+ will be going UP in price. But, you can try to beat this increase and save yourself some money if you act fast.
Right now, Disney+ costs $6.99 per month if you pay monthly, or $69.99 for an annual subscription if you pay for the entire year at one time.
But, starting on March 26, 2021, Disney+ subscription prices in the U.S. will be INCREASED to $7.99 per month (if you want to pay monthly) or $79.99 as a flat rate for the entire year (if you pay for the entire year at once).

According to one Cast Member we chatted with, however, if you subscribe today or before March 26th as monthly member, you will continue to pay the current price up to August 23rd, 2021. But, if you subscribe after March 26th, you’ll start paying the new price immediately.

So, what’s the best way to avoid the increase?
You could get a Disney+ monthly subscription right now (or before the increase) and get a few months at the lower $6.99 price, but after August 23rd, your monthly price will go up to $7.99. That might save you a few dollars in the short-term, but there’s a better deal to be had.

Your best bet is to buy the Annual Disney+ subscription BEFORE the price increase in March. If you wait until the increase, you’ll have to pay monthly at the $7.99 price, which equates to $95.88 for 12 months. If you buy the annual subscription after the price increase, you’ll pay $79.99 for 12 months. That’s less than the monthly arrangement. BUT both of those are MORE than what it would cost you to buy the annual subscription right now. If you buy the annual subscription even just one day before the price increase takes place you’ll only pay $69.99 for 12 months.

If you already pay for a subscription and your subscription is about to expire, your best bet is also to get an annual subscription before the price increase. Currently, an annual Disney+ subscription will cost you $69.99. But once the price increase goes through, an annual subscription will cost you $10 MORE.

If you’ve got a Disney+ bundle, keep in mind that will be going up in price too. The bundle with Disney+, Hulu (with ads), and ESPN+ is priced at $12.99 per month now. But, it will increase to $13.99 per month starting March 26th, 2021. If you want the non-ad version of Hulu, that bundle will cost you $18.99 a month right now, but will increase to $19.99 in March.

If you want to gift someone a Disney+ subscription, getting them a Disney+ gift card for the annual subscription, which is currently priced at $69.99, is also good. The gift card itself hasn’t been addressed specifically, but it’s expected that the price will go up once the annual subscription price itself increases.
And that’s what you need to know to try and save some money while keeping that Disney+ subscription. Essentially, it looks like your best bet is to make sure you purchase the annual subscription now before the price increases. Of course, you can’t avoid the price increase forever, but this can help you avoid it for the next year. We’ll look for more Disney+ news and let you know what we see!

I’ll be saving even more money when Disney increases the price of Disney+ because I’ll be canceling our subscription. There’s just too many other streaming options out there now for Disney to start getting greedy. Not into Star Wars or Marvel, so it’s not worth almost $100 a year
Not surprised. A lot of people cancelled their subscription over the Gina thing. They have to make up for it somehow.

Raquel, I’m not sure how they’re handling that. It’s worth looking into.
Answer….Move on away from Disney…..Higher prices for less return……Money is the Only thing that matters to THEM!
My D+ renewed in November, I was charged $77.99. Your article made me curious enough to look. Apparently I also have an ESPN+ access now too. I didn’t know I signed up for ESPN+.
