Part of Disney World trip planning involves figuring out how you’re going to get there!
And, depending on where you live, you have to decide whether you’re driving or flying. Many guests might feel that flying is easier and faster, but some airlines in some locations still don’t have direct flights to Orlando.
However, if you happen to live in and around the Louisville, KY area, flying to Orlando just got a lot easier and potentially cheaper. According to WDRB, Spirit Airlines will soon begin to offer direct flights from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport to Orlando, L.A., Las Vegas, and Ft. Lauderdale.
One-way tickets will cost around $59 according to a Spirit media relations manager — note that this is just the standard base fare for flights and don’t include extras like checked bags, additional carry-on bags (you’re only allowed one personal item), inflight food and drink, seat selection, and boarding pass fee (yes, if you want a physical boarding pass, it will cost you). Prices also may vary depending on the time of year you choose to travel.
Flights from Louisville to Orlando don’t start until May 27th, but guests can go ahead and visit the Spirit Airlines website to book their flights.
As always, we’ll keep you updated on other flights and transportation options to Orlando!
